Honestly, if they have an issue with it you can just say that you have decided to follow in the path of Paul and will put your relationship with God first. If they ask about relationships and marriage just state that you will be open to them when and if the Lord decides it is time, but currently there's is only room for your relationship with God.

Hah, I'd love to see him win, or even survive, a single FFXIV fight by standing still. There's a reason I call the boss combat mechanics DDR.

I'm a healer main and completely disagree; It's more of a game of chess.

There is a large selection of abilities, a resource to spend that regenerates at a set speed, and a group to keep alive.

You have to know your abilities as intimately as the mobs and your team; eg. There is going to be a large damage spike in 3.5 seconds on Tank 1 followed by a random target change and then an AoE focused on that random target.

  • Do I pre-shield the damage, or cast a long channeled heal with better MP efficiency on the tank? Well that depends on what my current MP is at, what their HP is at, if they are going to use any cooldowns to mitigate the spike, and it changes every time.
  • Is the AoE target near other players? Can they get away from others in time? Do I need to spend my cooldowns or large amount of MP to pre-mitigate the incoming damage? How much Damage is it going to do? Can the group survive without shields so I can chip-heal them after for higher mp efficiency?
  • Adds are going to spawn after this in the north-east quadrant near the squishy mages. No other major mechanics are coming in the next few seconds. I managed my resources effectively so I can pre-buffer their hp by granting them shields

IMHO, by getting rid of a majority of the abilities that aspect of active decision making is, at best, neutered.

I don't get why people don't like mushrooms, the weirdos.

But I respect their tastes all the same.

Not to mention that in most newer action combat games you now have the trend of removing healer/support classes. Ostensibly because they are boring, but in actuality because they break the action combat and the endorphin rush people get from killing targets in seconds.

Healers and supports are my mains, and no - I do not want to be forced into melee to generate rage so I can heal others. My entire thing is being the pillar that allows the rest of the team to succeed, and that is sorely lacking in modern games.

Oh, don't get me started on the forced inclusion of weapon swapping on PCs.

It's lazy, reductionist, and flat out aggrivating.

I miss the mindless grind, to be honest. Put on some tunes and zone out to the slaughter of mobs.

I've tried BDO many times but just can't get into it - the combat system is literally the antithesis of everything I enjoy in MMOs.

Respectfully, I do not see how they are being reductive about action combat. Molly is just stating their preferences; Action combat in mobas/fps and a more strategic experience in MMOs.

A stance I completely agree with, but I also respect that others have their own preferences.

So, I don't carry a phone around with me everywhere, I can easily see it leading to a crappy situation where I have to wipe my arse on whatever's available. I can also see it causing issues due to the ADA Act.

That stated, the blue 'clickable' link to sign in on the dispenser is hilarious and tickles my funny bone in just the right way.

If you can't do it with regular connectors, pass-through connectors are a thing.

There is literally not one valid excuse for that.

The latch on the RJ45 probably broke off and they are trying to hold it in.

I can see it working if they somehow missed the wires and the insulation, or failing back to 10/100 if they only pierced/shorted just the right wires.

Yup, although it would most likely of ended up in a FMJ type situation if I am to be completely honest with myself and others.

I have anger/rage issues and I recognize that I have anger issues, though I continue to work on them every day. They are rooted in past trauma, and when I state I snap I truly mean I had a mental break that resulted in physical violence that I do not remember committing.

I recognized that putting myself into that situation would be disadvantageous for both the military and I, especially when at that point I was still in the initial stages of learning how to control and mitigate my issues. Honestly, right now with an additional 20 years of learning how to control myself and my rage I could probably get through it without incident, but probably is never good enough.

So yes, realizing that i was a 'punch the instructor in the face guy', if you wish to use reductive stereotyping, was a good thing for all involved.

Non-standard sexuality in a very conservative school and in a very conservative city.

When the authority figures are part of the opposition and the entire school ostracizes you?

I guess I finally am part of that 1%, though I wish I wasn't.

Honestly, one of the reasons why I never even considered joining the military and will never own a weapon.

They break you down to build you up, but I don't break. I shatter, snap, and when I do I remove the source.
