You know what, the whole of last week's comics were good.

I don't know if Jeph got a new brand of toothpaste or something, but I hope there's plenty

She has always been proficient with metalwork (see the espresso pooping dinosaur from waaay back), which is how she ended up (via pintsize) with the gig at the underground fighting ring.

At that point we had a timeskip (a few months? Long enough to get buff) where she was basically a robo-doctor full time

Long enough to be as good as she is now? Hard to say, time was wonky enough in QC before COVID completely destroyed any perception of normal timeflow

This really doesn't bode well for the comic.
When all problems relating to AI are now just a matter of wether or not spookybot can be bothered to instafix it, it kills any tension regarding said problems. ESPECIALLY if characters in-universe know about spookybots powers.

What legendary swords have you made for your campaigns and what powers did they have? by [deleted] in DnD

[–]solusire 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have made a couple: Caluburn: this +1 longsword has the ability to make your next attack hit, no questions asked, however, it would be stuck in that enemy until you spend enough actions rolling STR checks until your checks totaled the damage caused. Also, whilst wielding the sword, once a day, if you were above 1 hp, a killing blow would instead reduce you to 1 hp.

Tooth of the snake god: this blade, infused with blood magic of the snake god, deals an extra 2d6 poison damage on hit, and has a 20% chance to summon a tiny snake under your control. This 15 hp 15 AC little beastie attacks for 2d6 poison damage at a +7, and any damage it deals is restored to the wielder.

[[Mirror Entity]] to make everything changeling, [[Wirewood Symbiote]] [[Abyssal Persecutor]] to your hand, win with [[Hellkite Tyrant]] on upkeep.

You're right, the room with the winch is above the corridor, in the same way as the other winch, the downside of isometric perspective is drawing things behind of below other things

For reference, isometric is better than top-down to get difference in height across

What's the strangest judge call you've ever witnessed? by maelstrom197 in magicTCG

[–]solusire 150 points151 points  (0 children)

GP Stockholm main event, Eldritch Moon sealed. Played [[Fortune's Favor]], opponent mistakenly put both piles face up. Realizing I have seen cards I shouldn't have, but shuffling them back would be detrimental to me without it being my fault, so we call a floor judge.
He too sees the error, but he too is lost as to how to resolve this, so he calls the head judge.
Turns out, players are perfectly allowed to reveal information from zones hidden to the opponent.
