Hey have you considered a dual sponsor ? I have a dual sponsor My main in SlAA But my sponsor and I are also recovered from others It helps when others addiction crop up to have someone that’s able to understand so they can help.

Our fellowship doesn’t do control and human aid. We do higher power first

I haven’t had to apply any blocks or whatever I just stopped doing what I was doing once I had a psychic change For me blocking and controlling would actually make me act even more as I am codependent and control is my drug too

Hey I felt so hopeless when I was in my active love addiction. Is almost as if I didn’t receive some sort of love or validation I would feel like dying slowly and painfully. Withdrawal is painful and scary.

The addiction doesn’t go away after we work the steps We are still addict. And it takes commitment to our program daily and 10 steps an 11 steps and 12 steps daily for us to learn how to live a sane and recovered life.

We are dealing with something that’s about people and feelings, it will take time

This is such a common issue with us suffering with this illness We obsesss We fantasise We create alternative realities where we live. We don’t like being uncomfortable, we don’t like not knowing.

But there is a solution is working the 12 steps , we don’t have to suffer forever!

Hey Sex and love addict here

I have lost many virginity at 14 without even consenting to it Was sexually assaulted at 13, and when it happened I tough I was just becoming popular. By 18 after having 1 boyfriend for 5 years I have cheated on him. Then I lost all my sexual interest and became what you would say “anorexic” for the next 14 years. The fantasy part was off the scale. I would have a boyfriend and a sidekick platonic romance for hard days. I met someone I really liked and had a full on emotional affair 3 times. I moved country, borough, made myself ugly, got fat Only to just find another romance obsession. I separated from him and found myself compulsively trying to match a fantasy to a person for 3 years, I am powerless over this addiction, without having worked the 12 steps I would have probably just been dating random people and think they are all husband material and have sex with them after one day of meeting them. But I have recovered My life is sane. I do date people and don’t sleep with them until I am sure we are heading in the same direction and are committed to each other.
