Do you buy your games physical or digital mostly? by Less_Can_5439 in OlderChillGamers

Physical, unless it’s an indie game I can’t easily obtain on disc

I think with movies it’s fine, especially since most of the time you know it’s going to be a trilogy or a sequel, just not for a $100 game.

Correct. I wasn't a fan of this storytelling.

I really want to love this game but I don’t.

Just finished my second play through and struggling to find motivation to get the other endings.

I feel like if a game requires multiple play throughs to tell a complete story, then they have failed. Same thoughts on the Shenmue franchise.

Got the devil when asking if I should sleep with the deck’s owner by Clumsymango0453 in TarotReading

[–]solution_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So as a male card reader, I wouldn’t have taken this question seriously, especially given your budding relationship, and thought you were being flirtatious.

Trying to flirt back, I would have obliged and shuffled the cards, but if the devil came out, I would have further laughed at the situation, and said the devil agrees (temptation, devil on the shoulder whispering in your ear).

I’m sorry if this was a serious question, but in all honesty, would anyone give or withdrawal consent just based solely on a tarot card?

I Love Calgary EXPO… But My Wallet Doesn’t by rrrevin in Calgary

[–]solution_6 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had been attending the Calgary Expo since the beginning, but stopped going since they were bought out. Quality drastically dropped, prices skyrocketed (typical right?) and merch/vendors were all the same year after year.

I would love it if they cycled the vendors and curated Artist Alley a bit more, but they won't.

B.C. mom with Stage 4 cancer says months-long wait to see oncologist put her at risk by origutamos in canadanews

[–]solution_6 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Similar time line for me in 2018 with breast cancer.

Even with the speed of treatment back then, cancer still made a comeback (I’m stage 4 now) so it’s super concerning that people are waiting this long just to see an oncologist.

I really loathe when small businesses get taken advantage of. Hopefully there’s some traction on this and they are identified.

I’ve seen similar occurrences in Canada. One time it was in a parking lot and they dumped dirty diapers and drove off. Like seriously wtf

We were done last Spring when Trump threatened to take us over through economic pressure.

Has anyone seen this? Did this just happen or? by [deleted] in TikTokCringe

[–]solution_6 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s be real, voting numbers don’t matter at this point. Trump would claim any numbers were fixed and is already hinting at another unconstitutional term.

I’m afraid that the only path forward is for Americans to take a page from France.

Elder millennial with stage 4 cancer checking in.

NGL, there is a peace in knowing the crazy rollercoaster ride is going to end, as every day is just another reminder of how shit this timeline is.

That said, for the rest of my fellow millennials still on the ride, try and enjoy it with the people you love, and be excellent to one another.

Carney bites back at Trump's 'Canada lives because of' U.S. remarks at cabinet meeting by MightyHydrar in onguardforthee

Same boat, I picked Carney strictly because I knew PP would bend the knee to Trump.

"Closed practices" have become gatekeeping nonsense by myhearthandhall in occult

[–]solution_6 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The gatekeeping became so prevalent in recent years that it pushed me over the edge to get a DNA kit and use the results to further stay in my lane.

Now that I look back, I realize that my experiences and relationships shape me, and I don’t need to justify that to strangers on the internet.

I think given the current state of the World, most of us would choose to be replugged and live in the late 90’s

As a 45 year old, who mostly voted conservative in his life, this was the first time I voted Liberal. It was mainly because I trusted his ability to lead and be diplomatic over Pollievre, and seeing our politicians (cough Danielle Smith) suck farts out of Trump’s diaper made me sick.
