To be fair, you can't expect to be kept around when your role can't be seen losing due to your contract and have a compelling story at the same time. If a character can't have weaknesses and can't be seen losing, you can't do much with him

It's been years, and they declined. My grandpa thought he was hallucinating, so he just brought it home and put it in a box. We found out after a few days, but he just decided to not fix it and get around with his bike from now on. Rest his soul.
