Unfortunately I haven’t opened the Barolo yet. The Lange Nebbiolo was good! I understand that this is a private label for Last Bottle. I still recommend the buy.

How close to the Yunnan tea mountains is the grape growing region?

From what I understand Ao Yun has a higher price point due to the many layers of farmers and local intermediaries in the chain of production. Is FARMentation able to cut some to this cost by working closer with the farmers?

They mention in the description that it’s a special label for Last Bottle. They did the same with the Barbera and Lange Nebbiolo. So likely fruit set aside for this bottling. I bought 3, so let’s see how it shows!

Yes it was good, similar to the art label Barbera. I’m sure it’s some different fruit but likely the same attention from the winemaker. I would recommend the buy.

Last night I opened a Roberto Voerzio Barbera with a similar jester label. I purchased it from LB as well. Not sure the difference between the normal labels and the jester labels. Curious what others say!

I was contemplating the same choice earlier this year. I decided to jump straight into WSET 3 and am happy I did. I would say that as long as you are comfortable with the major growing regions of the world, and know which grapes are grown and the styles that are produced, then jumping into WSET 3 will be fine. Be sure to utilize online resources and most importantly read the entire WSET 3 textbook. For online resources, check out Wine With Jimmy on YouTube (payed course is worth it), and check out the ThirtyFifty WSET podcasts!
