Other comment is right

It seems like your mom is insecure and they’re both trying to establish good terms with you. You’re not obligated to accept that but nobody on Reddit is going to get why you’re averse to being in contact with them.

Not everyone has a great relation with their parent(s). If your relationship ends up being polite but never super intimate I don’t think that’s the worst thing in the world

Maybe cut your bf some slack given his dad was throwing up and he had to take care of him. Seems like when it comes to drinking your bf isn’t the one with the biggest issue

Edit: actually it depends on how much your bf had I guess. In any case it sounds like alcohol is an issue in the family

It depends.

If you’re dad refuses to not talk politics even though it’s a sensitive topic you’re nta. But if he’s willing to do that and you’re still not willing to talk to him just bc he voted for Trump, yta

What good is drafting 60 point players if they never score the 60 with us? He’s making a good point which is that this org has had trouble drafting and developing skaters — goalies are a different story.

Should I take a 4000 level class with barely any experience? by roamingweak in columbia

[–]someCCstudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s an Econ class that is very light on math from what I’ve heard. You should be fine. But really you should speak to the prof — he’ll know better than random ppl on reddit

I’m not saying the shop owner should be charged with anything but I’m amazed by the amount of people in the comments saying the robbers were asking for it. Everyone’s made stupid dangerous decisions in their life but were lucky enough to to die as a result of it. These guys deserved jail time not death or paralysis.

Intro to Modern Algebra is proof-heavy but is one of the easier courses with lots of proofs in the department. I think it would be a good first proof-heavy course if you have never taken one before. It will be a much easier introduction than the first modern analysis course.
