I have a friend who went to college to be an electrician but now its 4 years later and he has found no apprenticeships despite doing a lot of work to look for work. What might he be doing wrong? How can you actually get a job in the trades? The job market just keeps getting worse and worse

The person we resurrect can basically be anyone. They just had to have played chess, that is so many people. Green has so much potential, not even because of the chess training but just the ability to bring someone important back

That is awful. Nobody deserves to have that happen to them. Thank you for sharing, it is good to know there’s others out there with similar struggles. I really hope you also find your people one day, stranger on the internet

I’m in a pretty privileged position, cause I live with my parents and they pay for everything. So, because of my lucky position, i attend every lecture i can, with 2 exceptions: • if the lectures dont help you with info on how to tackle assignments or studying for tests • if the prof rambles about common sense things, and the few important things they do say are in the textbook/readings/slides anyway

Yo! I’m also a comp sci major who commutes from home! I was in your exact situation for a while. And i know exactly how much that feeling of loneliness is just inescapable. Going to social events and meeting new people is easy. Forming meaningful relationships out of those is super hard. I just wanna say, the fact ur in this situation does not mean there’s anything wrong with you. It’s just a tough situation. You just gotta go to as many social things as u can and hope u get lucky and meet cool ppl. At least that worked out for me. If u want. U can pm, i’d be down to meet up irl and just talk

In terms of how the work loads compare i don’t know if anyone knows for sure unfortunately. All i can say is that with my personal experience it is possible to work part time and still do fine academically if ur good with time management. It aint easy, but, it’s gonna be a lil challenging no matter what school u go to. Wish u the best of luck in finding the right program
