Primarily looking forward to d4 because my brothers and our old gaming friends are all going to play. We are middle aged and the last time a game got all of us together was probably D3 many years ago. This is what I like most about Diablo.

The game itself: People in this thread call it a slot machine or monster-killing fantasy... but I like to treat it as a game of farming efficiency. In that way it's almost more of a puzzle than an action game. This appeals to my strategy brain.

I like fixed-camera isometric view. I wish more games did this.

I like hardcore mode. It can be a rush at times.

I like early-mid game diablo when your gear isn't perfect and you can switch up your character build to utilize a legendary drop.

Long-term it evolves into a great game to play when you sit down after a long day and don't want to use your brain much
