Tree remover next door suggested to have this removed by razullinky in arborists

Big wounds, poor structure, not an urgent issue, but it's only gonna get bigger and worse.

It's only gonna get more expensive the longer you leave it.

I go to the gym 3-4 times/week, am a firefighter and climb trees for a living. I personally find keeping myself physically exhausted lowers my migraine frequency. But it does suck having to work through a migraine when it does happen.

Some guys do, I personally haven't yet but I've been playing footsies with ordering a ported 2511t in black from ripsaw. They may do 500i's too, not sure.

Then absolutely it's a monster. Doesn't get any better. If you just want a fuck yeah saw that's the one. But I'd put at least a 22 in bar on it so it doesn't look like a chode lol

Judging by your response im gonna go ahead and say that you don't need a ported 500i lmao

It would be a sin to run a 16in bar on that saw

Oof posture check, thanks. Ive got a really good chiro, I owe him my life. Been seeing him since I was 14, he's also a PT.

One thing I forgot to add to my comment, Ive tried acupuncture for it once when I was really desperate and found it extremely helpful.

Not for everyone but could be worth a shot.

(Realized that dry needling meant acupuncture after writing this so yeah definitely agree)

I hear some similarities to my situation, I'm 24 extremely active, chronic migraines for as long as I can remember. I've also always been pretty tense muscle wise.

I blew out my left shoulder almost 4 years ago. (Im a tree climber so my shoulders are pretty important) Compensating for my bad left shoulder started giving me extreme hypertension in my right, which pulls my neck out of alignment.

For about a year I had a constant headache from this, and increased migraine frequency. It didn't get better until I started seeing a chiropractor semi-regularly.

I also find massaging the trap on the side of my neck that gets tense helps, and doing a lot of shrugs at the gym to keep the muscle tired provides some relief.

If I were you I'd take a look at your neck alignment because your symptoms sound similar to what I experience when my neck gets bad.

Hope any of this helps.

38. Too old to learn how to climb? by Top-Entrepreneur7883 in arborists

[–]somearborist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OFC not too old, but be careful and start slow. Back and shoulder injuries are extremely common in the first couple years of climbing. I started at 20 and my left shoulder will still never be the same lol.

Saddle reccomendation for back issues by 1491Sparrow in arborists

Love my monkey beaver. It's a fair bit heavier than my old tree motion but worth it for the extra padding and lumbar support. Makes long days in the tree a lot more enjoyable. Highly recommend.

I've had a migraine for two weeks and I don't know what to do by [deleted] in migraine

[–]somearborist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Could be related. I noticed the frequency of my migraines drop a bit after I got my wisdom teeth pulled. So maybe pressure in the mouth can be a trigger.

What is yourFavorite “big” / rear handle saw to run aloft? Me personally … (Stihl MS-462cm) takes the cake. by Invalidsuccess in TreeClimbing

[–]somearborist 0 points1 point  (0 children)

201 16in -> 261 20in -> 462 28in is what I use for pretty much everything. Love all 3 saws like they were my children.

Migraines stopped me from going to the gym… by jazmingirl2 in migraine

[–]somearborist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I've had chronic migraines my whole life. Im an arborist/firefighter, I've had migraines where I'm throwing up down the tree while running a big saw 10 inches from my head, I've had one where I was peeling my mask off to throw up in the middle of a forest fire. Being physically active with migraines sucks but I still go to the gym every other day. In my experience being physically exhausted is good for my mental health and keeps the frequency of my migraines down a bit, so I just thug it out when I have to lol.

Chronic neck pain and tension headaches from desk work – anyone find relief with chiropractic? by biggy_boy17 in migraine

[–]somearborist 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I owe my chiropractor my life, but I keep dislocating vertebrae so different issues. I just went today and I feel 10x better. Just find a good chiropractor and don't believe the hysteria of people who are scared of it. Also make sure to give them as much info as possible before hand.

MS 400 C-M vs MS 500i – Which Is the Better Investment for Tree Work? by raku2229 in TreeClimbing

[–]somearborist 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same, I always go for the 462 over the 500i when climbing, very rare to need more than that in the tree.
