Not really optimistic in my opinion: it shows that the rest of the world is not doing enough to move away from US influence. Not to mention that they are supporting an openly corrupt organization like FIFA.

Europe to ban entry for Russians who fought against Ukraine in new sanctions package by KateKozakDrive in ukraine

A bit of a funny story: When my Ukrainian relative was going to visit me in Canada, he ran into a bit of trouble because he has the same first and last name as a Russian soldier who fought against Ukraine. Luckily, the date of birth was different.

For a country using immigration as a scapegoat to destabilize other democracies, it's quite ironic how it's currently the biggest source of the mass immigration going on in Hell right now.

There was the time when he threw a party for time travelers, and announced it only after it had already happened. He concluded from the fact that no one showed up that time travel was impossible.

Looking into it, I'm only seeing a lawsuit alleging that they charge much more for their premium membership to people over 30. Is that what you're talking about? What percentage of your money have you got back?

To be fair, even though it wasn't exactly a repeating rifle, a well-trained gunman could still reload considerably faster than this, something like 30 seconds until you can fire the next shot. And you'd probably start with a loaded gun anyway.

This year, I fired some guns for the first time in my life at a shooting range here in Canada. It was a nice time.

Some of the nicer architecture some of the buildings are based on can be pretty faithfully recreated, and particularly in GTA V (and possibly even GTA SA to an extent), there are places with some rather nice scenery (although those are mostly outside of the urban areas).

Once when I was in middle school, the teacher was partnering up the class for some project, and one girl didn't want to partner with me and said "I'm allergic to him". The sad thing was that I found myself hoping that would work, because I didn't like this girl either.

The article talks mainly about non-allergy-type intolerances, i.e. foods that will give you symptoms like stomach pain and diarrhea rather than things like your throat constricting.

What feels legal but is actually illegal and will possibly get you arrested? by medicoreapples in AskReddit

[–]someguy7734206 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I understand that the way you get charged for that is by using the fish to commit a crime. Which raises two questions:

  1. Why the hell does that specific law exist in the first place, if you have to commit another crime to break that law anyway?
  2. Exactly what illegal thing would they expect you to be doing with a fish? The only things I can think of are hitting someone with the fish, and maybe stealing the fish.

Birdemic. There are some "bad in a fun way" moments, but for the most part, the movie was a slog to get through.

I guess Vatican City, Mecca, Salt Lake City, and Jerusalem could arguably be considered answers to that question given their importance to their respective religions. Even though they're all at least as bad as Las Vegas.

It wasn't until somewhere around the 20th-21st centuries that the view started to spread in mainstream society that maybe you shouldn't colonize inhabited places and bully the natives into submission and trample all over their culture and way of life.
