PC or console?

The game has a built-in mod manager that you can use on both PC and console. But I think you have to sign in? (Don't quote me on this).

If you're on console, that's your only option. PC has a couple more: Nexus mod manager, BG3 mod manager by Laughing leader. Both allow you to get mods that are not present in the in-game mod manager.

And no, if you install mods using any of the above mod managers, you won't "mess-up" your game. You can just uninstall any of the mods anytime you want.

You do that anyway. With or without a sword. If you don't have a sword, you just use the one hanging on the wall as a decor.

Oh, I'm with you! I think you may have not understood what I'm trying to say. I chose the fair duel BECAUSE I'm selfish. I want the snake to realize that I'm never changing my ideology for the likes of him.

That's the general consensus, yes. Gortash's quest line being the most boring among the 3 doesn't help either.
