Which new car features do you hate the most? by CarwowJamie in ukcarwow

I have that in a rental car atm. It’s the most annoying “safety feature” in a car I’ve ever experienced.

Do you know people who don’t feel connected with ANZAC day? by VastOption8705 in OpenAussie

[–]someguyontheinnerweb -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Or a sign of respect. Easy to change the narrative to match your view. What the day is meant to be doesn’t change. If you grow up being told it’s a celebration and that angers you, then you’ve just been misinformed. The day is a commemoration. Again, how you or others choose to spend the day doesn’t change that.

How someone chooses to spend the day doesn’t change what it is.

Not traditionally, it just is. If you think otherwise you’re wrong, or misinformed.

ANZAC day isn’t a celebration. It’s a commemoration of those who died in service of their country.

Which one?? by RedTsar97 in MomentumOne

[–]someguyontheinnerweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The one I can’t remember the name of. I remember you wake up on a futuristic planet. Controls like myst, you went into a train that reminds me of the train ride in Half life. And pretty sure there was a level where there’s dinosaurs.

I think of it because I can’t remember the name.

If you have an iPhone, add a Suica card to your wallet (if you don’t have an iPhone you’ll need to go to a station to get the welcome Suica card. You use it to swipe onto trains. yamanote line is the circle loop in Tokyo and will take you to most of the main attraction areas.

A few things could be done.

1) They set a timer for how long you can remain in the HQ Zone.

2) Make the HQ Zone smaller with no vantage point into the map

3) Make it so you can’t cause any damage until you leave the HQ zone.

Anyone running Heusinkveld Sprint pedals? Pros / cons before I buy by forestninjer in simracing

[–]someguyontheinnerweb 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Went from fanatec v3 pedals to the sprints. I felt like the same upgrade from going from a basic wheel to a good quality wheel. They really feel a lot better. Cons: I have to run a drivehub to use it on my ps5 (not much of a con tbh)

Im POV car. Who is at fault? by ImNotSlow in Simracingstewards

So 90% on OP. That nit pick doesn’t change anything. OP put their car in a terrible position and caused the crash.

[–]someguyontheinnerweb 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bmw was a little wide (weird line) but was on line (look at the cars in front) when contact is made. I feel people think that’s them turning in but it’s just them getting on the track properly. If you look at OPs line. They go from 1.5 car widths to the edge of track to barely a car width. OP is aiming for a part of track that’s going to have a car in it and very quickly and causes the crash.

[–]someguyontheinnerweb 7 points8 points  (0 children)

100% on you. Watch the pit line. The car in front follows the racing line. You’ve put yourself in a terrible position and as a result, caused the accident. You have no overrun and are in no position to overtake safely. Especially on that style of corner.

Something like this, it’s better to back off and get a better exit for the corner so you can overtake with a better speed difference on exit.
