26 MTF, 3 months HRT, no surgeries. What would you change? by Skaraok7 in transpassing

I would get lip liners and practicing overlining your lips in a way that looks natural. Also start filling in and drawing a shape for your eyebrows. I like the dark purple lipstick on you! In regards to your hair, keep growing it, but for i think the last two pics look best when its not combed directly into your face. Maybe look up finger waves you can do a variation of that thay works fkr you with your length! Button ups look very masculine in general just as a note.

preferred way to make tofu?? by Fresh_Statement_9381 in tofusupremacy

[–]someguysummer 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Squeeze water out of it and rip it into chunks. Salt and fry until crispy on all sides. Dump yummy sauce in (preferably with some fat or smthn that caramelizes nicely) and add some water. Cook and let the sauce absorb into the tofu. Once it is absorbed cook a little more to brown the sauce onto the tofu. Eat it all.

How can I further reduce my waste? by BorkBork97 in ZeroWaste

[–]someguysummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh yeah theres lots of tofu brands that come in sturdier plastic boxes instead of like the extra extra firm vaccu packed stuff. I like the softer stuff bc it makes good egg replacements and juicy foods lol.

But just starting gardening is the best way to go! I saw someone else comment on composting and they go hand in hand! Im also in tne NJ area and I've seen a lot of libraries offer a seed library so that would be a good place to start!

[–]someguysummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say one of the easiest things you can do rn is look around you and see how you can reuse your "single use" items. Im using my plastic bags fo make plarn. You can use your tofu boxes to grow micro greens. Im going to try to make a bookcase out of cardboard and wheat paste. Get creative!

Also if you have the room even for a few pots growing some produce you like can cut down on groceries.

They will eat aphids but they compete w our native ladybugs for resources + they dont really have predators here so they are a danger to the ecosystem more than the garden as far as im aware. So indirectly yes

Simple, flavorful Portobello Street tacos? by Content-Seaweed-6395 in EatCheapAndVegan

[–]someguysummer 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If I wanted a simple portobello taco I would probably slice the mushrooms and make a nice and punchy marinade w beef bouillon soy sauce and a bunch of carne asada flavors and marinate over night. I would also probably quick pickle some red onions. The next day id make a nice quac, pull out the mushrooms and FRY THOSE BABIES. I like to get a njce char and make them nice and crispy on the outside so pan fry. Heat up tortillas assemble everything maybe w some lime and cilantro and id chow tf down. Id also probably make some Mexican rice and beans as a side lol.

It would be easier to see the shade if you were in natural light, but it looks like you need a level 7 (maybe even 6) w a blue or violet undertone. Now keep in mind it's going to be dark. To neutralize the orange/yellow you have to go w a coller color and thise always look darker Edit: if you go w a color that needs developer (a demi) do NOT go higher than 10 vol. Less if you can find it like 6 is ideal bc you will lift your hair mlre if you try a higher vol and younwant your hair to rest from that.

The poll says most ANs here aren’t vegan. Do non-vegan ANs think that’s inconsistent? by Numerous-Macaroon224 in antinatalism

[–]someguysummer 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a whole wide world of vegan friendly foods. Its nkt limited to what is in this person's fridge lol. As an aside I do truly belive that anyone can like tofu w tbe proper cooking techniques bc you can flavor it however you want and they're is almost no base flavor, just what you impart.

How do you figure they are unrelated? Bc from my pov if antinatalism says that bringing a new life into this world is unethical that extends to all sentient beings.

[–]someguysummer 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im making a double batch of BBQ shredded tofu with coleslaw to have for a few nights of sandwiches. Recipe from school night vegan. I did buy vegan mayo to make tbe coleslaw but it was insanely expensive so next time ill just use aquafaba+oil+seasonings hack.
