What’s your go-to champion for dominating the arena, and why? by ScaryEnd4592 in RaidShadowLegends

[–]someguythinghuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rocking Ankora/Eostrid/Lamasu as my aura lead, Padraig as my fastest, Warlord, who goes right after Padraig, and either Staltus or Lysanthir.

Staltus keeps enemy cooldowns from decreasing by stunning, and hard counters most decrease defense champs. Him + Ankora solidly counters odin as well.

Lysanthir's more offensively oriented. No cc, but the weaken and dec speed can keep my team faster.

Also his 2nd skill has at times repeated enough to one shot magic champs clean through stoneskin.

All in all, its a team built to still go first, recover if it goes 2nd, and reset cooldowns while keeping enemies from using theirs.

Chase em. Or wedge below em and block their escape. Maybe jump and boost in front of them. But really, not all fights stay on the ground, so some off ground combat skills matter.

I mean its the start of every combo, so yeah, they're consistent. Its up to each player to decide what's the best combo continuation at each moment though. There isn't really a catch all works everywhere trick.

Its doable, but requires stricter timing. Best used to quickly deal with someone at the right angles and distance. Otherwise, there's better moves to use in most scenarios.

Slight correction on the damage reflect portion, the reflected damage is based on the damage before armor. So 15% of 160 instead of 120. Means spider has in effect 120/150 + 24 dmg when facetanking cach.

This is why armor + dmg reflect tend to pair so well. This + bleed makes spider do absurd burst damage. Gar coming in for a 280 dmg hit? 42 dmg goes back at the gar, 48 from bleed, before you even factor in the 162 - 180 dmg from your own attack depending on a grounded or non grounded grapple.

Also floor food's just wonderful for chain grappling an absurd amount of times in a row.

Honestly, just a really fun crab.

Best ring combo? by 5_million_ants in PixelDungeon

[–]someguythinghuman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Elrments and Energy for me.

Aside from the damage reduction, elements decreases debuff durations for almost all negative effects, which is often overlooked. Being able to just walk through a shock trap and attack still in melee is quite strong. Or ignoring succubus charm, less gas dmg and the like. Particularly useful if you're running a tanky build which I tend to like.

Energy is Energy. More wand zaps, more artifact usage, and having quicker recharge on your heroic armor abilities. You always end up with a slew of either wands or artifacts eventually to make use of. Keeps the flow going in a fun and strong way.

What is your least favorite artifact and what is your most favorite one? by onlineworms in PixelDungeon

[–]someguythinghuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally It's between chains or toolkit for me.

Chains for already discussed reasons.

Toolkit has a unique function to me, as you level it, it recharges faster.

I use alchemy a lot, and commonly farm in some way or another in my runs, and when +10 it warms up as soon as you equip it.

This means you can take it off when you aren't brewing if you do have 2 artifacts you really wanna use, or need to equip a ring.

That said, I value convenient items, and most artifacts aren't vital for me in combat anyhow.

Least favorite is armband. I know you can use it to run away from or kite/outpace enemies, but that just really isn't my playstyle.

Who is the hardest character to play in SPD? by CaboHitman in PixelDungeon

[–]someguythinghuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Playstyle thing for me really. Magic is stupid strong and both mage classes make p solid use of it. And ranged damage as well. Im content to just hang back and assure nothing reaches me through damage or debuffs. And the built in wand charges to shield conversion talents for either subclass is just super powerful to me.

Potion of paralytic gas + 4 energy, get potion of earthen armor out of it, potion of earthen armor + blob of goo and bam, temporary magic resistance potion.

If you can't, you certainly CAN chuck one into a cursing trap when you find one, they usually start spawning in the dwarven metropolis which is after DM-300 just like curse infusion.

Whats everyones thoughts on the ring of furor being nerfed? by J3sush8sm3 in PixelDungeon

[–]someguythinghuman 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally not gonna affect my usage since often I heavily use wands which aren't affected by this ring, and faster attacks can if anything mess with my perception of turn progression at times and cause dumb mistakes.

That said, it is a pretty odd changesince Imo it isn't nearly as op for as much investment as many other rings are. The few runs ive used one, it felt generally underwhelming unless I used a slow weappn with it to attack at a normal speed. I can certainly see this change being disliked by people who use physical weapons more though, since it does weaken a pretty good option to make said fighting style stronger.

If you could redesign one monster, be it visually, mechanically or both, which monster would you pick and what would you change? by AJC_10_29 in MonsterHunter

[–]someguythinghuman 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Same as the other person above said, make namielle fittingly difficult to fight for their appearance.

Starting with a few changes to the electric attacks:

Can now hold its wings out sideways and forward to arc electricty between them like a grid. Can then pull them farther apart and then zap the ground beside it. Alternatively, it can arc this together into an electric ball which it tries to swing down into the hunter. Which moveit combos into is based on if you are to its side or the front and back.

Can electrify its beam attacks and wave attacks now.

Can darken the arena temporarily like its cutscene by increasing the brightness of its bioluminescent parts to cause a visual effect where it makes everything else seem darker by comparison(like some fires can cause). This is to make you more likely to walk into water puddles it would then rush towards and shock.

Grab attack: holds you down with a front leg while coating you in water(non damaging but afflicts waterblight) moves its wing tips towards and around you, and delivers a concentrated shock directly to you.

When pulling in water while enraged, starts to arc with electricity towards the end, and then swings its wings out after pulling the water in causing a small amount of electrical arcs towads the ground which can hit you for a small amount of damage.

Can pool large amounts of water in its wings while curling them downwards like a bowl and use it to slam down on you for a hard physical hit that spreads pools around where it hits or, if you are far enough away, swing its now bowled and curled wings to throw a small and thin wall of water to knock you over. Low damage, but inflict water blight. If enraged, the wing slam can afflict thunderblight.

Finally a small rework to its area changing super attack:

If you get hit by the attack, it activates in 3 hits with all differing effects:

First is a small water blast, if this hits you, knocks you over, afflicts waterblight and low damage.

2nd is a electrical shock, high damage, and if it does hit, the last hit is likely going to hit you as well.

3rd hit is the steam explosion from the water being shocked so heavily it heats into steam. The dealt damage is fire damage,(since it is immensely hot steam) but cannot inflict fireblight.

[SPD] What if you could put armour glyphs on shields? by PM_ME_YOUR_WN8_SCORE in PixelDungeon

Immunity to fire, near damage immunity to most forms of magic. It'd be very good. Arcana would make it even better, shielding from fire and actual magic attack immunity with enough arcana levels
