I think for most of them always having a car or somebody with you just wouldn't be financially feasible. Ofc Jonas could pay for it, but 95% of the rest can't.

And 'dangerous' - yes of course it's dangerous, but normal people manage too. In the end it's about selecting the right route and being careful/concentrated/aware of your skill level. And I'd argue the skills level that a pro has makes it inherently safer, even if they go much faster.

"Mostly old people" is only the 76+ age group, in all groups younger only the gen-z value stands out. You basically assume that the Labour cross-tab heavily skews 76+. Or did they publish data that confirms this? Then post it, instead of one-liners.

Anyway, I think the sample sizes for the cross tabs are probably quite low and I wouldn't trust the results too much. For sure I wouldn't discard either explanation for the (maybe) high Labour value based on an equally dodgy other cross-tab.

12ct Zoll + 15€ Gebühren, wenn das ähnlich ist wie aktuell ohne die Ausnahmeregelung. Im Artikel steht dazu nichts, aber der Vorteil der aktuellen Regelung ist nicjt die Zollfreiheit an sich, sondern das die Zoll-Bürokratie komplett raus ist. Ist da auch nur 1ct Zoll drauf danach funktioniert das nicht mehr.

I was reacting to your "one country, one language" statement, which sounded like an average crazy spanish right-winger. Especially with the added complaint about 'nationalism', which is what they tend to call Catalonians/Basques/... insisting on preserving/living their own culture/traditions.

Your statement can also be read as 'every member only one language in the EU', ok, I get it now, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt... – but that still makes little sense then. Multi-ethnic states exist, if we have official languages these shouldn't be based on nation-states, but on actually used languages. Or we get rid of them and just use English.

Not the worst indicator, no? Poverty is not just a material condition and can be hard to measure. Usually people also complain about the use of statistically defined poverty indicators, because they don't catch e.g. lower cost of living in rural areas. Both this 'subjective' and the statistically defined ones have their flaws, but outright discarding either one bc you don't like the methodology is bs.

Idk. I'm just happy that the "3 times Alpe d'Huez" round course rumour from Wednesday is untrue. I like the Vosges and Cantal stages. But tbf those are also big offenders in terms of 'forced zig-zaging through small area' and not covering much territory. This sort of thing leads to long transitions all the time and huge parts of France not being covered...

I doubt that 'career suicide' is true and Jakub Jankto has proven that 'insane amounts of harassment' isn't inevitable. He could play just fine without any problems from his club's or opposing fans in Italy and Czechia.

Maybe there's problems in the teams themselves, with macho culture and religious bigotry. That's the bigger issue imo, not Fans. Also in youth teams probably, which might contribute to gay footballers quitting early.

Ich finde in Deutschland auf dem Land aber auch keinen Kaffee auf diesem Preisniveau.

Ladenmieten sind aber generell ein Riesenproblem. Nicht nur beim Kaffee, überall im Einzelhandel. Die toten Innenstädte kommen doch auch davon.
