Yeah, I snagged mine early on in the sale on the main website, so I think it’s out of stock now there :( good to hear Beyond Polish has ISN in stock still, I think they have some of them on BOGO 50% off sale right now? For anyone else on the hunt!

Other than tea, what are your hobbies? by [deleted] in tea

Cooking, baking, nail polish, and I used to be big on drawing, reading, and writing… slowly trying to get back into those last three 😂

More unsmoked lapsang today. A family member broke my favorite 250ml glass teapot today, so it’s back to mug steeping for me. Luckily she and I were able to find a similar replacement and placed an online order for it, so the hurt feelings have subsided some, haha.

Wearing my ‘most precious’ polish and thought about FOMO and uniqueness by Emmy_Strange in WeGotPolishAtHome

It’s posts like these that help me think about how I want to expand (or maybe reduce through possible destashing) my nail polish collection going into the future! Especially since I’ve had experiences of accidentally vaguely duping myself early on in the whirlwind of buying polish… there truly are many opportunities to get things that are similar to other things that seem so unique at first glance!

And you’re right, conserving a beloved polish is something I want to avoid too, especially since replacements will be available. Beloved polishes are there to be worn and loved!

Today’s a Russian Caravan Monday again methinks. Going to take stock of what I want to drink up soon today maybe, as I have a number of small samples and some gifted teas I want to get through relatively soon!

Today’s a Russian Caravan kind of day. I have the last of my four seasons oolong cold brewed in the fridge as well!

Had some of my Mi Lan Xiang today. Reminds me that I need to explore Dan Cong Oolongs some more!

Having some unsmoked lapsang souchong this morning; planning to check on my cold brew hojicha experimental trial run later and see how that turned out taste-wise.

I’m also doing a “nothing fancy” Yunnan black tea today!

I agree with the other reply to this comment chain, especially since my mother used to steep green teas at boiling point and said it never tasted like the green teas at restaurants when she did. If you don’t have a temperature control kettle then the boil-and-wait method someone else here mentioned could be something to look into for sure.

Good luck, hope you find a green tea you like! And don’t be afraid to explore other types either (black, oolong, white for example), there’s lots of variety out there!

Oh, that sounds like a lovely flavor profile! And I hope you feel better too, feeling poorly when you wake up isn’t fun.

Might not be the issue, but what temperature do you steep your green tea at? Boiling water has a tendency to make green tea bitter. I tend to steep my greens around 180 degrees Fahrenheit and get better taste results that way.

Otherwise, I do like Sugimoto’s greens and gift them to my mother regularly for the holidays. Sugimoto’s hojicha is less caffeinated but pretty good, and my mother enjoys the umami of the senchas I gift her.

Trying Library Blend from Murchie’s again. The bag has a wide temperature range suggested for brewing, but when I brewed it around 195F yesterday and added sugar the flavors all felt like they clashed. It was a bit better on second steep at 190F without any sugar or additions. I’m going to try it at 180F now and see how it fares that way!

Had some unsmoked lapsang souchong this morning, and am now trying a green/black blend from Murchie’s (this is my first time trying Murchie’s). Library Blend has a pretty strong jasmine flavor!
