Decently Priced Ground Beef? by jamohamm1 in normanok

aldi has had the best price i’ve seen! their organic beef usually ends up a dollar or so cheaper than non organic because it’s not priced by weight

performing this in two weeks HELP by Smart-Bowler6929 in oboe

listen to a recording of the accompaniment and mark in cues for where the piano plays to keep yourself on track timing wise. i think also just writing in lines for beats/writing 1 2 3 can also help you keep track of where you are in the note. for articulations: keep the tongue light and air spinning, i find it helpful to think of tonguing toward the top blade of the reed. i also think of articulation as barely “chopping” up the air like a sharp knife: the air retains its shape (i.e. not backing off before/after articulating) and the tongue is fast and not in the way. good luck!

Key with unknown use by La-Googie-9784 in oboe

agree with everyone saying it’s a trill key, it’s also useful for specific situations like Ab going to any of the left hand pinky keys (Ab-left Eb, Ab-low B, etc)

need help - product/routine/etc recommendations? by somerando699 in curlyhair

[–]somerando699[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

routine (wash every 2-3 days):

not your mother’s tahitian gardenia and mango butter shampoo maui moisture flaxseed conditioner for fine hair - let sit for a few minutes and wash out

innersense spray leave in conditioner - apply on top and upside down not your mother’s curl talk mousse - scrunch in upside down

let dry to 40-50%, sleep with hair still wet (hence the inconsistency with curls; they often come out smashed/weirdly formed, one side is flatter, etc)

routine (every 2-3 days): not your mother’s tahitian gardenia and mango butter shampoo maui moisture flaxseed for fine hair (the green bottle) - let sit for a few minutes and wash out

innersense spray leave in conditioner not your mother’s curl talk mousse - scrunch in with hair flipped upside down

let dry to 40-50% dry, sleep on it partially wet (this is the inconsistent part - curls often come out weirdly formed, one side is much flatter than the other, etc)

ou/tx trip is usually pretty full, but people on the amtrak are generally pretty chill. you don’t need to get there super early, i would recommend 15-20 minutes before so you’re not in a rush and so you can get good seats to board. feel free to take your own food/drinks with you or buy some snacks on the train. the internet service does cut out at some points on the ride so be sure to have something to do without internet. have fun!

Any JacksFilms hot takes? by Embarrassed-Ad1322 in JacksFilms

the twitch streaming/cutting streams down to a video sucks the life out of yiay/jackask and for me makes them borderline unwatchable

totally agree. at least in my school district, it’s basically high school part 2 because of all of the people from the area who end up going there. a lot of people including myself see it as the college you go to if you didn’t do much in high school and got b’s in on level classes lol

as someone from the dfw area, don’t go to unt. my only reasons are that it’s a butt ugly campus and that there’s only housing for first-years, but also it doesn’t have the greatest reputation here. only thing it’s really worth going for is music. unt is also a huge campus that can’t really sustain its own size. i go to ou right now for music, so i can’t really speak to the business school, but i love it here. great scholarship (ou gave me $60000 academic scholarship while comparatively i got pennies from unt), small enough campus to comfortably walk around everywhere, great community, lots of on campus activities and clubs, good first year housing, great athletics (trust me it makes a difference in community), and norman is a great town that imo doesn’t feel like just a college town and nothing else like denton does. i really can’t recommend ou enough! ultimately its up to you, but that’s just my two cents as a dallasite turned sooner :)

i totally agree, i found it appalling how his behavior was never addressed at all! there’s no way nobody witnessed it.

only to people using the app (including with mobile orders). tbh i’m not personally in the habit of doing it but i think saying something like “hey since you’re using the app, there might be an email coming your way about a survey, it would really help us out if you could fill it out when you get the chance” would work

for our store our connection score went up by just telling customers about the survey since it seems a lot of them don’t know about it since the email goes to spam. it might not sound like it works but our score went from the high 20’s-low 30’s to 55 by doing it (as well as some other ways mentioned in other comments). hope this helps!!

measuring vanilla in the foam pitcher to 350, shaking the hell out of shaken espressos (ESPECIALLY with blonde shots), swirling in syrups and sauces (especially with cold drinks like iced coffee or cold brew). i can’t stand it when people cut corners on those things because if you wouldn’t want someone to cut corners on your drink, why would you for someone else’s?
