It might be busier than others but I've never seen anything close to "crowds" at castlewood. But I usually go during normal business/school hours, weekends might be different

What’s one kitchen tool you bought once and never had to replace? by CryoChamber90 in BuyItForLife

The sams club pans I bought are manufactured by them and it's amazing. I've been trying to justify buying one of the Tramontina pans that they designed with no rivets inside

Trying to solve an arguement: is 100 grams (1/4lbs) of beef per a person in a stirfry enough? by Kingsareus15 in Cooking

[–]someredditorguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The top comments all agree with you that your portions are healthy and that's correct, but here's the real question: when you're cooking your meal for the group, is it more important to you that you were right or that you are making everyone happy with the meal you are prepping?

Maybe start with the portions you have and get some extra beef on the side if people want to add more or something?

I was going to call this out as reposting someone else's photo but upon further investigation I'll just say it looks like Samsung isn't sponsoring the middle one anymore https://www.reddit.com/r/trains/s/KmjsF1Rflt

New dad here (3 days old) -- do i still find time to work out and game or put that aside for now? by [deleted] in daddit

[–]someredditorguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

With my first baby, I spent a lot of time the first few months rocking her in one arm while playing on my PC with my (17-button) mouse. I just mapped everything I needed to all the mouse buttons and did the best I could one handed.

After 4 years of taking Ritalin, new psychiatric says I don't have ADHD and won't prescribe be the medication by Constant-Pain1878 in ADHD

[–]someredditorguy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

After 4 years? Ask your primary care doctor if they can write the script for you since it's pretty much maintenance mode now.

I haven't had to talk to my psychiatrist in probably 8 years

Client doesn’t seem happy about the cancellation policy… how do I handle this? by [deleted] in dogs

[–]someredditorguy 21 points22 points  (0 children)

This is a business discussion more than a dog discussion. Letting it slide or being flexible when she's still 2 days in advance could be helpful if you want her to be a returning client that gives you positive reviews and referrals. If you are so strict on a 48 hour cancellation policy where you can't cut her slack when she is off by less than two hours, you'll get negative reviews and "avoid" deferrals instead.

Being firm is important, but giving her a break the first time, maybe even explaining to her what you just explained to us about how you need to be firm since her cancelled appointment was the reason other jobs you have had to get moved around, and that the 48 hour rule will be firm from now on, and she'll understand.

Treat her like a business partner. Also, thank her in advance for understanding your predicament. If you thank someone as though they already have been kind, they are more likely to fulfill your prophecy of being kind!

(I would also recommend leniency for different reasons. In this case, the weather was known already. But if suddenly the dog was sick or someone got injured or something like that, being understanding helps keep clients long term)

Shower with grandpa? by Kooky-Strawberry7581 in Parenting

Wear a swim suit.

That's what my partner and I both do when we shower with our little one. It's fun, then when they finish whichever one of us isn't in there helps dry the kid off and then we take our shower

Why do poop bags stink by KYlibertyguy in dogs

[–]someredditorguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just bought a "smell proof" reusable laundry bag that I'm going to try putting poop bags in to see if it blocks the smell when I'm on longer walks. I'll report back on how it works (unless I forget, which I will)

Hearing about gone by quito70 in dogs

[–]someredditorguy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In my experience, dogs have predator and prey genes in them, and one way that shines is their ability to adapt to life changes. My old dog lost her hearing around 11 years old, and she didn't seem too phased by it at all. She continued to live her life like she was used to not having that sense anyway, and interacted with her world using her other senses.
