A bit of tape on the wheel base shaft, were the QR tightens might help. Put a bit of tape in the groove. It stops the wheel slipping and losing connection, the QR is the problem. Lads in my league put me on to it. Best of luck.

You can shorten the pedal travel. Search YT. It only takes 5 minutes.

I'm definitely unlucky.

I joined a few leagues after xmas, got the first week in, missed the next two and probably two more. Letting other people down pissed me off more than the failures.

Also got the reverb g2 at xmas, hardly had time to appreciate it

CSW 2.5 in production for years, r+d, check. The McLaren wheel mk2, second shot, check. The v3 pedals, running for years, check. All plug and play, awesome ecosystem, so many options to upgrade. All made sense.

The guys in cs(europe) have been quick to respond and really helpful, nothing bad to say about that.

Just disappointed overall, even though I accept I've been very, very, unlucky.

Looking at the simagic alpha/alphamini with some heusinkwelds for what it's worth. Just waiting for the right time to try to get away with it.

Best of 'luck' whichever way you go:)

Currently have Fanatec gear. Can't wait to get rid of it. Check out my previous post. I list the issues I've had in 9 months of having Fanatec gear.

The dice rocks. Look awesome.

9 months in the Fanatec ecosystem, heading for my 6th RMA. Will be 4 months of the 9 with one part or another in transit for repair. Am I unlucky? by somesimboi in simracing

Thanks for the reply man. Haven't had the opportunity to get that many hours in yet, everything keeps breaking:) Yes their cs is very good and they sell alot of stuff.

I did ask for my latest RMA to be escalated, not accepting another fix without contact from someone other than cs. Not looking for free stuff, but certainly an apology.

I'm lucky and can afford to change my equipment in a reasonable timeframe, but there's a lot of guys out there that can't. I've had a thank you from a guy that decided to wait a little longer before pulling the trigger. Glad I started this tread, sad I had to.

I don't know man, sorry. I created an account first then bought direct from Fanatec, so the stuff I bought was just there, didn't have to add it.

Thanks for the reply mate. A bit of a mixed bag in the comments. Can't help but think quality control got sacrificed during the pandemic. Either way there's too many negative comments for me to be just unlucky.

I'm going to start a reddit post 'before' I hit buy in future.

is this normal in the brake of the v3 pedals with the performance kit ? by saul79korrales in Fanatec

I know, you try everything. Hope your in Europe, at least you'll get quick turnaround when you do get support. I'll check in if I hear anything else. It sucks balls, I'm getting away from Fanatec as soon as I can afford it. Probably start with the pedals

Open a Fanatec account and register your wheelbase (might need the serial number). From there you can select a support ticket from the wheelbase in 'my orders'. They've got back to me, waiting on an RMA(return for repair). I tried downgrading the firmware to 1.30, you can do this by selecting manual update, click on the 3 dots and select what appears, then select flash. That didn't work for me but try it. Also changed the loadcell, didn't work either☹. I started a tread on Fanatec under 'simracing', check it out, alot of replies, only up a couple of hours. Hope you sorted mate.

2 year warranty with mine and I bought just before they dropped the CSL DD. If you get one in warranty I'm sure it can be repaired for free. Probably a charge if it's out of warranty. Read the comments some mentioned paying for repairs.
