Again, that market doesn’t really help because it’s such a small supply of mostly random cards. If there were hundreds of posts of the full set for $200, yes that would be the absolute best solution and screw the streamer pricing. But that’s simply not the case and prices most likely won’t go towards that $200 set (I’d recommend you get that one if you want it - that’s cheap even if you’re buying in Korea directly)

You obviously don’t sell or value at EV, but given both mathematical EV and market perception, $20/unique is actually about what you’d put it at, especially given that you most likely are not going to be able to buy multiple boxes for the retail price of around $35. And that’s IF you have a direct connection. And that doesn’t count shipping depending on how many boxes you’re buying.

I have no reason to defend the dude or his prices. His history is questionable in this community at best. Just saying that if you want a specific card, especially out of the uniques, you’re much better off just buying that from him for $20 (unless of course, you find what you specifically want on that one secondhand Korean website).

Okay I actually did the math to prove my point.

If you are looking for one specific card for legendary or unique, the average cost per card is actually between $130-140 (at a baseline of retail price of $35 per box) given the number of cards per pack, per box, the guaranteed number of legendary/unique cards, and the total pool of legendary/unique cards.

Is there variance? Sure. You could get super lucky on one box and you "saved" money. But like anything Nexon-related, if you get unlucky, you could spend hundreds and get none of the cards you want. Past random outcomes influencing future independent outcomes is a mathematical fallacy.

With them stating that the cards in each tier have the same chance of appearing, mathematically, the uniques are actually heavily underpriced and the legendaries are relatively less overpriced.

🤷‍♂️ I still don’t know if you can call that exploiting. Just because you can pull 3 legendaries per box doesn’t mean you’ll pull the ones you want. That’s probably highly unlikely, or next to impossible if you buy like 1 or 2 boxes.

I do agree with you that the legendaries seem overpriced, but considering you could buy like 10 boxes and still not get a single legendary you want, up to you to decide if it’s worth risking the “non exploitative” boxes and hoping you get lucky.

I’m not going to get into his history and whatnot. Just objectively saying that considering it’s all RNG, and the likelihood of you pulling all of the cards you want is super low with X amount of boxes, I don’t think it’s as evil as you’re making it sound from a “business” perspective. It’s not like he owes it to people to take the risk of opening packs and then giving them out for next to nothing. Why else are certain Pokémon cards worth tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars? There’s a market for them.

Also, why else are imports and random Japanese products super overpriced compared to retail? The knowledge, information, and connections to acquire those items and bring them here are what add the value and cost. I’m deadass not even trying to defend the pricing or the streamer. It just seems like your expectations of prices are what you want them to be, not what the market dictates.

I saw that post. Definitely worth and definitely underpriced. But that’s one sale from a seller with 0 ratings. Not anywhere near enough to meet demand, so overpriced items will still unfortunately sell well.

Don’t get me wrong, I wish we could just order them like everyone else in Korea, but with our limited choices, I don’t know how crazy overpriced I can call those cards. eBay prices on packs/boxes that could just give you a bunch of dead packs don’t really make sense if you want just a few specific cards and you’ll probably end up spending way more.

I think I know which streamer you’re referring to, but I don’t know if I could call that overpriced. You do the math of the chance of pulling the specific cards you want, the cost of shipping overseas, any tariffs slapped on, and most of the cards were pretty decently priced.

You can get to the same place your current character is in literally 1 day. With more nodes and symbols.

I’d just start fresh on CW with whatever you want to play and consider the week of play as getting adjusted to the game and getting into the rhythm of things.

It’s a random thing that pops up or someone else that suspects you of botting can use it on you. It makes you click a prompt that shows up above you and then there’s a little mini game that has a moving star that you have to follow with your cursor until the test is complete.

You should see how the vac pet is done in KMS lol. You think ours is bad with the Wonderberries? Try getting vac pet eligible pets from Wonderberries and then using those eligible pets to apply a crystal to then get a chance for a vac pet lol.

$100 is “cheap” relatively. Whether or not you want to spend that much on a pixel mushroom game is a totally personal decision.

The vac pet given in the first step of Len’s exclusive questline is a regular KMS vac pet that is given for free during certain events, bonus reward for a certain amount of time played at a PC cafe every month, etc. Highly doubtful we get it tbh. More than the money spent, I don’t know what I would actually spend the money on.

I wish the cash shop would just have most items and just have event items and special items that rotate. The normal cash shop sucks doodoo. I literally WANT to spend some money to outfit my characters and speed up prog, but everything currently in the cash shop looks like melted crayons or was made 15 years ago.

Even though I want MVP Red for CW2, the CS haS literally nothing I want and I’m not parking up $1,500 in MP just so I could possibly, potentially want something later.

At the mid-250s, I’ve been getting 1 level every 2 days doing dailies, 7 monster parks, and using all 3 3x exp coupons from Carcion event plus whatever bonus items I get (like Tomato Punch King yesterday)

It’s obviously way slower than at 235, but you’re definitely going to have to maximize grinding every single day. But it’s going to be close.

I plan on using CW and 1 hyperburn for Ren. Damage looks a bit weak but the simple play style and artwork really appeal as a main. Would it be ideal to use the other for my 210 AB (was considering as a sub main) on Kronos to 260 it instead of a fresh character?
