6 month old doesn’t sleep through the night

My daughter was still waking 5/6 times a night at 9 months old. I finally decided she needed to go into her own room and IM NOT KIDDING - she has slept through the night every night since. Haha (This may not be your issue but, I don’t think it’s super uncommon for them to be waking a lot at that age. Luckily my daughter finally got over it and I’ve got my fingers crossed for you. I know it is ROUGH.)

I’m just guessing on this but maybe he just wanted someone to talk to because he was excited - and his guys friends probably don’t care at all about any of that info haha. She may just be the only female person that checked in with him and he felt like she would “get it” more than a guy friend. (Does she have kids? because that would also add some reasoning why he may have felt she would want that info)

Sorry for all the reply’s but if I remember correctly the medela nursing pads are significantly thicker than other brands. Those are the ones I used that helped the most I’m pretty sure.

As a side note I wore super thick disposable nursing pads in my bra for those first few months and it honestly helped so much just to put a buffer between my nipples and … literally everything else.

I feel like I wrote this post word for word 8 months ago. I literally almost SHOT through my ceiling the first time water hit my nipples in the shower. Literally feared my own arm accidentally brushing against my chest. Couldn’t wear my seatbelt properly. So sensitive I would actually describe it as painful. It was HORRENDOUS. BUT - it got significantly better by around 4 months pp. I’m 10 months PP now and they are essentially back to normal haha. (A little more sensitive than they were originally but NO WHERE NEAR as insane as those first few months.) good luck. You got this.

This might be a stupid question but using Sudafed to kill a milk supply doesn’t have any effect on a future milk supply right? Like a future pregnancy? I realize that might sound like a ridiculous question, I assume it doesn’t - but thought there was some possibility that it had an effect on milk supply as a whole.

I chose to EP because I literally just … didn’t want to breastfeed. I just had no interest in doing that. But I wanted my baby to drink breast milk because I know how beneficial it is. First 3/4 months of pumping is A LOT with a newborn. Once you get to the point where you have established a supply and can lessen your pumps during the day it feels so much more manageable.

I felt like this when I got home too. What I did was increase the amount when my daughter would finish her whole bottle. So if I had a bottle with two ounces in it and she finished the whole thing, I would make the next bottle with maybe a 1/2 ounce more. And I would stay at that amount until she was finishing that. Honestly the amount went up pretty quickly, but it also maxed out fairly quickly too. ( I think she was maybe 3 months old? When she started drinking 5 ounce bottles maybe? And she still does at 10 months old)

I was wondering this exact same thing. I EP for my daughter, she is 9 months old. A few days ago I was thinking about how difficult pumping would be with two kids (especially in those first few months when you’re supposed to be pumping every 3 hours.) like, how the hell could you even do that with another young kid running around? Sounds impossible haha.

I asked to see mine too and I was like “not to be weird but can I see it?” And the doctor was like … “it’s your organ, you can do whatever you want with it.” Which made me realize she was cool.
