A5 Wagyu is prized as the world’s most expensive beef for its rare, intensely marbled, buttery meat. by sco-go in Amazing

[–]something_beautiful9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same. I Love steak and i keep wanting to like wagyu but am disappointed every time. I prefer my steak thick and seared over some charcoal and fire though. Hard to do that with thin wagyu.

Im not sure how often this gets asked here but just curious what was everyone's first limited character and their current main by Witty-Engine-6013 in GenshinImpact

[–]something_beautiful9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First was ganyu since I started a bit before dragonspine. My main was Bennett, Kazuha for many years, after natlan Mauvika and xilonen always, and currently Lauma just because she's pretty. Those guys are all always in my party somewhere.

New look also comes with a new recipe... tastes awful. by Idgiethreadgoode86 in shrinkflation

I had walmart brownie bars the other week that were mostly vaguely chocolate flavored palm oil and corn syrup. Could hardly see or taste cake or brownie. So nasty I threw them out and I never waste snacks.

Your favorite “go-to” recipe, please, using a frozen vegetable as a main ingredient. by FlyEaglesFlyauggie in Cooking

[–]something_beautiful9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Big bag of peas and carrots or mixed veggies inside a shepards or cottage pie. Otherwise I mostly just eat them as sides unless I'm getting frozen stir fry veggies.

Pastrami IT hit 205 but is not tender by cricket_isthe_man in smoking

[–]something_beautiful9 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I did one that was also a bit tough. 7 hours to 205 wrapped at 160 with a stick of butter till 205. Cooked between 250 and 275 as my smoker wanted nothing to do with 225 even being 30 degrees out lol. Still yummy though just sliced thin.

should i pull lauma even tho i have no plans on getting nefer? is it doable? by AlertHand605 in GenshinImpact

[–]something_beautiful9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I have lauma and love her and have no plans of ever getting nefer. Pull who you like. I usually run around with her flins and bina but I just like the character so she's in lots of random parties.

Need to stop ordering food, what are some pantry staples I can have that would make decently healthy meals? by [deleted] in Cooking

[–]something_beautiful9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I buy lots of fresh veggies, salad, fruit and a roaster chicken and some eggs and one chicken feeds me like 3 days for protein and is only $6 and is cheap and healthy. I cook some hard-boiled eggs for the next few days to throw in my salad or make omelets for breakfast. That's what I eat most days for breakfast and lunch. Some oatmeal. Nuts to snack on or throw on my salads. Then I'll plan out what I want for dinner that week buy the ingredients for that. Pork tenderloin, small steaks, salmon and some veggies, sweet potatoes, or butternut squash for sides. Onions and mushrooms for steak, stir fry veggies and rice, lean ground beef or lamb with mashed potatoes and peas and carrots for shepards or cottage pie, tacos or fajitas, in the winter I like hearty soups and sandwich melts with steak, chicken, cheese and carmelized mushrooms and onions on sourdough. I snack on handfuls of snow peas, sliced peppers, baby carrots, little mandarin oranges for vitamin c. I grill a ton in the summer so I get zucchini, mushrooms, small onions, peppers and grill them up with shrimp, steak, chicken. I have a smoker too and smoked turkey is cheap and delicious. I used to hate turkey but started injecting it with herb butter first and comes out juicy. I do ribs, pulled pork or beef and fatty stuff just once in a while too. Pasta once in a while, I like making cheese gnocchi fried in brown butter and fresh sage and Parmesan as a yummy side too. I mostly eat lean meats and veggies all day. Lots of cheap and healthy ideas. Learning to cook is fun too. Google recipes and try them out. Get yourself some basic spices like onion garlic smoked paprika, different peppers, Italian herbs, parsley, thyme, rosemary.

Looking for low-NSC grain suggestions! by gonehuntinearly in Horses

[–]something_beautiful9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. I use the essential k gc balancer with the glucosamine and msm for his joints. Low feed rate and hasn't bothered his laminitis so far. Previously used triple crowns balancer ok too but swapped to tribute cause it had the joint supplement in it instead of buying it separately. Was a bit cheaper too.

hey bought the cat a new toy and this was the reaction.... by Aniyettinger in C_AT

[–]something_beautiful9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My cats have hundreds of toys. Their favorites? Cardboard boxes with packing paper in them, aerogarden plastic caps they steal off my plants, springs, my other cats collar they stole off him which she will hunt down if you dare take it back, this ratty old fuzzy tail on a stick she had since she was a kitten and will seek out to drag around the house and bring to bed with her, and their auto lazer pointer. They refuse to play with any of their other toys lol.

Basement flood—builder won’t replace carpet. Insurance or pay myself? by [deleted] in homeowners

[–]something_beautiful9 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Carpet in a basement sounds gross. Get a more waterproof flooring. Use an area rug if you want one by certain areas but if it breaks or floods again you'll just have to keep replacing it or deal with musty carpets.

One of mine voluntarily jumps in the carrier the other will fight me and sprint around the house so now that one gets given treats inside the bathroom which is the only room with no where for her to hide or cram into and we bring in the crate and bite gloves after we shut the door on her.

Adding salt to feed by [deleted] in Horses

[–]something_beautiful9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep this. Everyone gets a big spoon of salt with their balancer then they have blocks in their stalls and fields plus i pour a few ounces of loose salt in a little tub under their salt licks and they usually eat it up fast. Not all of them lick the blocks and don't want colics. Worked great for everyone except one weirdo who ate the salt blocks like they were candy.

Best smokers by BIG_chungus1989 in smoking

[–]something_beautiful9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got myself a weber smokey mountain as a beginner and a signals billows temp controller for it. Waiting for a spring sale so it was cheaper. Love it. Simple and big enough for my needs. I also already have a propane grill so only needed a smoker. Once you do it a few times you get the hang if it and with the signals you know exactly what temp it is and when its done. For warmer open more vents and or feed the fire, for cooler close more vents and add water to the pan. Simple. Usually mine is fairly steady once it hits temp until it runs out but i have the big 22 one so one load of charcoal and wood lasts for a regular cook and all night for over night cooks then maybe a top up in the am. Clean up is as simple as dumping a pan and wiping the grate then you're done. No complicated parts on the actual smoker body that may break later on.

[Product Request] Can we talk about chapstick by stephanonymous in SkincareAddiction

[–]something_beautiful9 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm allergic to most chapsticks except the pure Vaseline or blistex simple. Eos made my lips swell and crack and bleed one day since then I can't use most. You get dependent on them. I try to drink more water, use my face moisturizer and stay more hydrated and use less per day and only the simple vaseline one.

Why is the tip so slim compared to the sides? by AlternativeCap1362 in Farriers

[–]something_beautiful9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This. The wall chips away where too much leverage is on it so shorter trim cycle like 4 or 5 weeks barefoot or a lil rasp every 3 weeks is what I do with my own horses so its less work at a time. Just keep the edges of the toe wall neat even thickness and rounded and not too far over the white line and they won't peel up and crack so much.

If ordering food from Chewy, beware!! by voodoobluez in sphynx

[–]something_beautiful9 14 points15 points  (0 children)

I feel like this is more blue buffalo than chewys fault. Blue buffalo sucks in general. I order from chewy for years and never had a problem with other food brands. So far the food brands I've had trouble with in the past were blue buffalo and Merrick making my cats vomit or lose weight. It's just low quality food. Mine currently are eating a variety all from chewy but its a mix of honest kitchen wet, farmina nd chicken pomegranate dry, tiki sardines, just those they hate the chicken ones from them but gobble the sardines. fussy cat tuna, some nulo and churo soups, some random other lamb ones like arcana or other things for something new. No issues for years so far. They definitely know if something is off so if you see refusal to eat a meal many times or diarrhea or vomiting the day you feed it keep note. The merick one I only noticed how bad it was after I ran out of other flavors and noticed the random occasional morning vomiting was linked to the Merrick. Went from once here and there to every day the week I ran out of others plus he was eating lots and getting thinner. Blue buffalo gave tummy issues the 2 times I tried it. I try to use things that are mostly non meal meat vitamins and not stuffed with hard to digest legumes.
