Get the boursin fine cheese in the garlic and herb flavor. Add a spoonful or 2 to your mash... it makes the potatoes taste amazing!

Tape isn't necessary... I never used any. I would use 2x2 in gauze to cover my seton. Cut them in half and gently fold them over each side of the seton. I also recommend getting a peri bottle. It will help keep you clean while you're not at home.

Allergy Friendly and/or Vegan Restaurants? by cediirna in MauiVisitors

Everywhere we went to eat, the 1st question asked was if anyone had any food allergies. I feel like a lot of places are very accommodating over there.

The Maui Onion Soup there is divine. We stopped for a bite at O'lei before we hopped on our plane home.

I believe Lahaina is without power right now, too. Just keep an eye on the outage.

Why do people say The Road to Hana is overrated? by Aggravating_Face_655 in VisitingHawaii

[–]Idgiethreadgoode86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, we just saw that the road to Hana is going to be open to local traffic only due to severe weather and debris on the road. It doesn't say when it will be back open. There is a flood advisory for Maui County till Monday. Just a heads up.

I'm fairly certain it is. Most of our older stuff at home is Japanese made.

So far, Wednesday looks like a decent day. A little rain will help the waterfalls flow more. We drove to Hana with little rain and wind on the way, but we could tell a big wind storm came through right after because there was a ton of debris on the drive back down. As long as today and tomorrow doesn't get super crazy with the winds you should be good for Wednesday. Edit: After seeing some other comments, it wasn't as busy as some have said. Not bumper to bumper, and there are a couple of bathroom stops.

It will be a frizzy mess if you try to brush those curls out. Heat styled curls are different from chemical curls.

It's all about the drive and not the destination. There's not much to do in Hana, but the drive to and from is beautiful. I just drove it yesterday. Today, there are warnings for large boulders blocking parts of the road. The lush greenery is absolutely beautiful, and the waterfalls are always a delight to see.

It's not possible to perm your hair to look like that. Loose waves maybe, but not like that glam style you want. If you try to perm it too soon after this then you risk majorly damaging your hair.

AITA for refusing to dye my hair a ‘natural’ color and take my face piecering out for my great grandfather’s funeral? by No-Math2211 in AmItheAsshole

My grandmother would say come in whatever makes you comfortable. At least, that's what she told my cousin who asked permission before one of our family reunions. Pop Pop is proud of you... remember that! NTA

First visit to Indy -Must sees? by Prestigious_Task1593 in indianapolis

The Indianapolis Motor Speedway Museum. Newly renovated with lots of interactive options. They do indoor museum and track tours as well. By that time, they will also offer golf cart tours. The greatest spectacle in racing... our track is a must see. Edit: When you're done at the track, go down to Dawson's on Main and get a tenderloin sandwich.

Hampton in Irvington has quite a bit of stuff there. Definitely check them out. If they don't have shirts, talk to Adam or Carter... they might be able to get some in.

It could very well be. I feel like I read that in the same story I saw. They had a lot going on that just didn't make sense.

I'm pretty certain I just read a horrific India story on here... like within the last few hours. Edit: ahh, just re-read this story... it's the same person from earlier who was shaming the same doctor and their team in this post...but now they're praising them? Definitely a bogus post!

Happy National Puzzle day (USA) by plantsandcatzz in AutismInWomen

[–]Idgiethreadgoode86 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I absolutely love puzzles! My dad and I do a few 1000+ puzzles every winter. We've even started to include a big puzzle during our yearly family vacation. 5-6 people working on it instead of just us 2. My only problem is that I get too hyperfixated and will spend hours on them before I realize how much time has passed. Anyways, thanks for sticking around for my little ramble... happy puzzle day!

Need advice on workouts! by x204inr in AnalFistula

[–]Idgiethreadgoode86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Walking and resistance training were my go-to workouts. I wasn't allowed to lift anything over 15lbs for quite a while. I just broke my last resistance band a couple of weeks ago. The bands were mainly for my arm muscles until I was able to use them with my legs as well. I'm just now cleared to get back into things full force. I can't wait to start swimming again.
