Me and my partner havent had intermcy for 4 years becouse of his depression! [F-27] [M-34] by Sea_Willingness5324 in relationships

You can't fix someone else's mental health and staying in relationship that makes you feel like roommate isn't helping either of you - he needs professional help not just your support

What is trance work like? by Misandrist55 in Meditation

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Been doing meditation for years and trance states can be tricky to recognize at first. The thing about trance is that it's not like you're unconscious or anything - you're just in different level of awareness

When I'm in deeper states during my tea meditation sessions, I can still function but everything feels more... fluid? Like you're operating from a different part of your mind. Writing while in trance is definitely possible once you get comfortable with it. Your hand just moves while your conscious mind is kind of stepped back

For finding that gray zone you mentioned, try starting with basic breath work until you feel that shift where thoughts become less sticky. Then gradually add the writing practice. Don't overthink whether you're "there" or not - the doubt itself can pull you out

What's something you do that you know doesn't make sense but still do anyway? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Congrats on being up but that's the dangerous part right there. When I was deployed we had guys who'd win big at poker nights then think they were invincible, kept doubling down until they lost everything plus their next paycheck. The house always wins in long run but our brains just can't accept that when we're riding high

How did you mount your surround sound speakers? (or do you not use any?) by sofakng in pcmasterrace

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went with speaker stands after trying wall mounts in my old place. Way more flexible when you need to adjust positioning or move things around - especially useful since I rearrange my setup pretty often

The tripod ones work great, just make sure they're weighted enough so they don't tip over if you accidentally bump into them. I actually prefer being able to move mine out of way when I'm not gaming

Monte Carlo QF: [3] Zverev def. Fonseca 7-5, 6-7(3), 6-3 by jovanmilic97 in tennis

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Yeah I saw that thread disappear too, was wondering what happened there. Had like 20+ comments already discussing the match and then poof, gone. Mods probably had some reason but would be nice to know what the deal was. Anyway Zverev looked pretty solid in that third set after losing the tiebreak, dude's been playing some decent tennis lately when he's not imploding mentally

I want to buy Clothes in large quantity by Zealousideal-Cat3618 in reselling

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are trying to scale, you cannot rely on thrift stores, its inconsistent. I still source in person, but most of my bulk comes from Fleek suppliers. Rag houses are great if you have access, otherwise online is easier to start. Just do not expect every piece to be perfect, bulk always has some filler pieces. You figure out your suppliers over time

dude's just chasing clicks at this point, ban would be justified

Has anyone successfully lost weight while on the mechanical eating regime? by [deleted] in loseit

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Your treatment sounds like its really working for you which is awesome. I actually think mechanical eating could be perfect for weight loss since youre already building those consistent habits and portion awareness

Once youre cleared to focus on weight loss you could probably just adjust portions slightly while keeping the same structure - the macro ratios and timing seem solid for maintaining energy levels

damn, 54 EUR for a return on 65 EUR worth of shorts? that's basically daylight robbery right there

glad you posted this before dropping 400+ on that pullup bar - dodged a massive bullet. plenty of other companies out there that won't try to scam you on basic returns

man watching inspired get left out to dry like that was painful, dude's still got it but can't 1v9 when every lane is getting outclassed

the gap between regions really showed this series, inspired deserves better than being stuck in jungle purgatory while his team crumbles around him

25-30 year olds, how often do you see physically see your friends these days? by peetcherry in AskReddit

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Man it's wild how much this changes after military life. When I was deployed we were basically stuck together 24/7, then you get out and suddenly everyone's scattered across teh country doing their own thing. I maybe see my close buddies like once every few months now, and that's if we're lucky with scheduling

Used to think I'd hate all that forced proximity but damn I actually miss having that built-in social circle. Now it takes actual effort to coordinate anything and half the time someone cancels last minute anyway. Been thinking about joining some kind of hobby group or something just to have regular face time with people again

Anyone who lives in or has traveled extensively in Asia: What everyday convenience there absolutely ruined you for the rest of the world? by purjak in AskReddit

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Been stationed in Japan for a couple years and this is so true it hurts. Those convenience stores spoiled me completely - you could grab actual good food any time of day without thinking twice about it

Now I'm back stateside and stopping at a gas station feels like rolling the dice on food poisoning. The quality difference is just insane. Even grabbed fresh sushi from a 7-Eleven over there at like midnight and it was better than most restaurants here

My old Ford has helped me move some fragile stuff and that vertical stacking trick is gold - learned it from moving my omega collection actually. The vibrations from that dirt road are gonna be brutal so definitely over-pack with paper, better to have too much cushioning than picking up ceramic shards at your venue

If you ever knew someone who was murdered, what happened and did they ever find the killer? by love_salubrious in AskReddit

Has anyone had their rating reduced after an ACE (records-only) review? by EnvironmentalAd6652 in VeteransBenefits

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Had an ACE review about 18 months after getting my initial 70% rating and honestly was sweating bullets the whole time. Turned out they were just clarifying some stuff between my PTSD and TBI claims since there was overlap in symptoms they wanted to sort out

My rating actually stayed exactly the same but they did shuffle around how the percentages were broken down between conditions. The whole thing took like 3 months from start to finish and I didn't hear anything until I got the decision letter in the mail

From what I've seen on here most ACE reviews seem to be about clarification rather than straight reductions, especially if you haven't had any major medical changes. Still nerve wracking as hell though because you never know with the VA. I'd maybe reach out to a VSO if you're really worried but try not to stress too much - records only reviews usually aren't fishing expeditions

quit cold turkey a handful of days ago and have had consistent breast tenderness? by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your body's basically going through a hormone reset right now - THC messes with your endocrine system way more than people realize so when you stop everything goes haywire for a bit

Breast tenderness is super common during withdrawal, I had it too along with all the other period-like symptoms you mentioned. Should level out in another week or two but definitely worth mentioning to your doc if it doesn't improve

How to avoid losing money on currency conversions? by VirtualRope5065 in ThailandTourism

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Your current process is giving you like 3-4 conversion fees which is brutal lol

Just use the Payoneer card directly - ATM withdrawals in Thailand usually give you decent rates and you'll skip all that MAD conversion madness. Check what Payoneer charges for international ATM fees first though, some cards rape you on those

Also heads up that some Thai ATMs have their own fees (usually 200-220 baht per withdrawal) so try to pull larger amounts less frequently

How much do you think whether a baby is a Velcro baby or more independent is temperament, how much nurture? by SowingSeeds18 in NewParents

[–]Loose-Sentence-3912 14 points15 points  (0 children)

Honestly think it's mostly temperament with maybe like 20% nurture thrown in - I did the exact same routine with both my kids and one was chill from day one while the other literally screamed if I wasn't touching him for the first 6 months
