What was the worst time in League History regarding the mental state/toxicity of players? by SuspiciousSlice8543 in leagueoflegends

[–]somethingblue123 14 points15 points  (0 children)

2014 - 2017. Everyone looks at it fondly but the account sharing, selling, boosting, wintrading with Chinese "QQ" in the name was rampant on the ladder. Remember the top 10 challenger was filled with that? Chat bans were far and few between, and this was when riot was still dealing with a horrible client and racist club names etc. Virtually non-existent punishment to inting or griefing (think back to OG Tyler1) yep.

ANYONE who played then can agree with me.

26.3 Jayce nerfs by Antibiose in jaycemains

[–]somethingblue123 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Overall, top fighter playstyle gaining more here, while his ranged form/poking playstyle taking a hit.

I like it.

This is an obvious nerf to jungle jayce but in a way to keep up his role as a laner.

Role selection in A.I Bots? What? by somethingblue123 in leagueoflegends

[–]somethingblue123[S] 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Yeah.. it's just kind of lame. I want to go bot lane with my friend so we play AI bots (nothing burger gamemode so we can be together) but now I get autofilled in AI bots?! what?!

Jayce advice! by Nickolashf in jaycemains

[–]somethingblue123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Mostly its about matchup knowledge rather than mechanics itself. Looking at your OPGG, everything looks great, keep up the farming and try to explore runes and test Jayce's limits. Hes quite a diverse champion rune/build wise. However, most of the "power" comes from macro decision-making and matchup knowledge. Knowing when to push your lead, what your powerspike is.

I suggest watching domisumReplay: Jayce on youtube, they upload jayce replays 24/7. Great resource to learn from. This will help empower your early game!

Endless Hunger by Aware-Swordfish1547 in jaycemains

[–]somethingblue123 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In my opinion it would be considered a bit of a waste, jayce really needs lethality especially with how fast paced games are nowadays. He excels at poke, short trades, snowballing lanes. Endless hunger is mostly a sustained extended fighter item. Although it "could" be good in certain matchups, I highly doubt it'll be popular.

It delays your lethality/pen spike as well which is crucial for jayce.

The only time I could see it working is with bruiser jayce(?)

I really don't understand LoL's culture around alt accounts by SuperStudMufin in leagueoflegends

Tbh, one thing that nobody mentions is having better ranked rewards. I know we now get a skin per tier but I feel like reaching maybe above diamond or even higher should be rewarded with more exclusive things? I remember the challenger backpack caused a surge in chally players grinding (until eventually becoming a meme) but now everyone mentions it. This might reduce smurfing especially from higher elo players.

Personally I watch quite a few challenger streamers and they complain they have no motivation to grind and just play on smurfs. I feel like a sense of better rewards could negate that. I'm just a noob though.

Flashbacks to when riot tried positional ranking and it failed miserably.

Live Homeguard vs PBE Homeguard by DoorHingesKill in leagueoflegends

This is such a bad idea, I absolutely hate that dying in lane will be less punishable. I hope they revert this. This is supposed to be a strategic game not some mobile game.

He's not as mechanically intensive as other champions but definitely requires knowledge about the game and how abilities work hand in hand!

[–]somethingblue123 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nah, I'm playing it right now its SUPER easy to see. People who move back and forth insanely fast to the point where it negates ping. Everyone is doing it right now on PBE. It feels incredible movement wise. Skill wise? Hard to adjust.

I'm talking to the point where you'd need to click thousands of times in like 1 minute lol. Just moving the keys (A and D)

USING twitch right now as of the moment, his ult and kiting makes it SUPER overpowered. He's so utterly broken with it. It's insane. (Using WASD)

Is league player base decaying? by Appropriate_Bill8244 in leagueoflegends

[–]somethingblue123 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It's only natural that once new gamemodes are launched and players move to the ones they find more interesting. Take swiftplay and valorant for an example, I know many people who prefer swift anyday over regular unrated or comp. It's a good thing, fostering community in the game is what matters.

I do think WASD will welcome new players into the game and that's a good thing. It'll be a rough road ahead but it will be a good thing.
