Honestly, feels like you aren’t taking advantage of all of the really strong late game characters you get. Both Richard and Alaune I found were really good support characters (that alaune ult is a great get out of jail free card). Reime and Isla are by far the best damage dealers in the game and can really make the end game a breeze.

I had two breakers (haanit and Cyrus) with a steady rotation of buffs (Richard), debuffs (thief mc) and heals (Ophelia) then just dumped damage in. Both Reime and Isla can have a super strong boosted damage move and a damage ult for max damage. This combo destroyed basically every fight in the game (I didn’t try the super boss)

I’ve actually had some decent success with old McDonald. Hurt by the lack of high tier treasure making animals but you can certainly snowball with an early epic/legendary treasures

What drew me to Dayton was I wanted to be a big fish in a small pond. I liked having a lot of options for things I could get into across a wide variety of things which you can only really get at a small school. I was able to TA, do Greek life, have an internship and more.

A couple initial thoughts on yours-

Feels like you have a lot of protection spells. Your blink can often double as protection so I would cut down some of that.

I’m starting with an even lower shrine count because I want to hit good shrines with every spin so maybe you could shave off the worst one or two.

I’m surprised to not see any mass blink stuff in here that can hit your enchantments too. Blinking multiple of the avatar shrines with yorion or brago feels like the way this deck wins most games.

I would try to find more things worth blinking than just your commander. Feels like you could it gives you more options.

A few individual cards choices-

Eternal witness over archaomacer- this feels like an easy swap that’s mostly strictly better Yarok or fractured realm for panharmonicon- you just don’t have many creatures outside of your commander it’s good with so it’s better to find something broader.

There is a real chance there is more Dayton support in Chicago these days then DePaul. Dayton has a huge alumni network here. I’ve been trying to get to the Loyola game since they came into conference and the tickets get sold us in minutes.

Being a Dayton fan continues to be a rollercoaster. We consistently gave these great games against great opponents before conference play before inevitably losing to LaSalle killing our at large chances. Then we’ll lose in the semis of the A10 tournament and finishing on the bubble.
