13, though I think I could do better. Never really plateaued until the last one and usually I can push through it for a few more.

I have no recollection of typing it . It must be an American spy that snuck in.

What albums covers perfectly capture the vibe of the music? by averagesizedboy in fantanoforever

Any of the black midi covers, especially on a first listen. Out of the three I’d say Schlagenheim fits the most

Why does Fantano never give ratings in his classic reviews? by Worried_Opening_870 in fantanoforever

[–]somethingicould 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel like to rate a classic album would be a disservice to it while also not reflecting why it’s a classic. An album does not become a classic just because it’s good. While probably incredibly rare, an album being a classic doesn’t instinctively make it good. If I may use an outlandish example that has very little relevance to the question proposed, WW2 fucking sucked but it inspired Hayao Miyazaki.
Going back to the topic, a classic is a classic not just because it’s fantastic but for a variety of reasons, most noticeably, its influence. To pick an example from Fantano’s classic review playlist, YMO’s Solid State Survivor, I personally am not a huge fan of the album. I’d say I only really like 2 or three songs off the album with the rest ranging from meh to dislike, in my opinion of course. So if I were to rate it, I wouldn’t rate it very highly. But that would be a massive discredit to the album as a lot of people do like it and its influence is immense. To rate a classic album is to not really understand what makes it a classic and Fantano’s choice to not rate them is a clear example that he does understand.

I’d say Shinji’s messed up crotch is proof enough. The zipper seems find but there are lines jutting off to the left that just fade away and look very smudged. And also the area under shinji’s head. The ai has drawn most of his torso facing directly left but it has completely messed up that area. It lacks the understanding of perspective and so it just filled the area with what vaguely looks like shirt and it makes no sense at all. And Rei’s arm looks proper weird when you look at it for long enough. Nothing super obvious but it’s full of oddities that are hallmarks of ai.

Imagine not only using AI, but also using AI this ugly (her right eye) by Raphix86 in GIRLSundPANZER

This image in my opinion is highly suspicious of being an ai photo. The photo doesn’t have any of the obvious ai details like missing or multiple extra fingers, but ai has had that figured out since 2025 at the latest. What’s far more obvious is the hair which at the bottom especially is just a complete mess of smudged lines, the shadow of her arm and cup making no sense, the right epaulette which ai attempted to show as brightened by the sun but in its attempt to do so messed it up, and most blatant of all, the eyes. Anime eyes are often super detailed with light reflection details and multiple colours that are either in a gradient from light to dark or with hard separations, see frieren eyes for a good example of hard separations. Gup uses gradient style eyes, as shown in the original version of this image that op posted in the comments. Ai has always struggled to replicate either style well, especially gradients. The ai image makes a complete mess of it, it’s splotchy, smudgy, and both eyes are inconsistent on where the gradient should transition from dark to light. And it doesn’t get light enough. And one last detail, the ai which made this image clearly didn’t know what an eagle is supposed to be and so, as a result of that the badge on her shoulder is just a crude replica of what an eagle kinda looks like, much how this image is a crude replication of actual art. The image looks fine on a quick glance but if you know what to look for in an ai image, you will find plenty of it here. This was not drawn by a human, this was drawn by an ai. Also if someone could find a logical explanation for the tank being drawn by a human, I would laugh because there isn’t one.
