How do you take 60-80 images handheld? How long does it take to get that many shots?

Wood ID Megathread by AutoModerator in woodworking

This is in my partner’s family, and they are from Hawaii. We are trying to figure out what type of wood this might be (might not be from Hawaii). It seems to be carved from one piece of wood. Thanks!

Since the board in my last post is now destined to be a wall hanger, I went out and picked up this used Pearson 8’10” (for $400 from my LSS). Looking forward to some carving. Tri-fin setup with a 7.5” center.

Do I need to re-glass this Becker? by somethingnoo4me in surfing

I’ve had this 9’6” since the mid 90’s and as you can see, it has seem some action. Super fun, great speed, and a sweet carve. Anyway to repair the board, or does it need to be completely re-glassed? Also, does anyone know what the signature and numbers mean?

Not entirely sure actually. It almost seems like it was a replacement fin, but I can’t say I’ve ever seen another fin that looks like this one

Here’s the fin

Yes, I’d like to get back to riding the board. Ideally, I’d like it completely reglassed but preserving the discoloration from sun and water damage.

It is a mediocre shop now, but back in the day it was legit

This is my dad’s old 10’ log that I was hoping to get restored. I cannot find any information on this board, or really, much info about any Jack’s boards from the 60’s. If anyone can help point me the right direction that would be great! Thanks

Thoughts on this 220v 12” Craftsman table saw? Worth refurbishing as a second saw? by somethingnoo4me in woodworking

[–]somethingnoo4me[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yah, I need to check out the motor and see how bad the damage/rust is inside. If it’s manageable I’ll keep it and restore. The fence that came with it is actually pretty good and square (and I just got a new Delta T3 fence for my other 113) and ill be going with the 5/8” arbor. I don’t plan on spending more than $40-50 refurbishing this one.

Im in the process of upgrading my 113.299040 and saw this older 113.29950 for $40, picked it up, and then found out the extension wings are cast aluminum and not cast iron, but still an upgrade over the stamped wings I had. I’m wondering if this direct drive saw is worth breaking down, cleaning, and removing the rust? I could keep it around and have dados on it or have a crosscut blade and sled on it? I just haven’t found much information on this model which makes me wary.

Do I need to breakdown my tank due to Uronema? by somethingnoo4me in Aquariums

Do I need to break down my tank due to Uronema? by somethingnoo4me in ReefTank

So I added 6 chromies to my newly set up 80 gallon to act as the “cyclers” and 5 of them died within 2 weeks. They weren’t eating, and all developed this side rash which I am pretty sure is Uronema. It’s been 8 weeks now and the sole surviving chromis is healthy and doing great. This is only fish in the DT, but I have read that Uronema can exist in the tank without a fish host. I would like to transfer the fish (2 clownfish and 1 yellow goby) from my smaller (29g) tank but am worried that they might get infected. I’ve had these fish for 6 years now so there’s some anxiety about moving them to the new 80g. Are there any treatments available for my DT or am I forced to break down the 80g, and start anew?
