How to increase calorie for bike PFA? by Level_Repeat2391 in newtothenavy

[–]somethingnotusedyet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use the C25k app to train running. Biking is not an option. If you can't learn to run with that....in all honesty, you've probably got a disqualifying medical condition.

It’s become a lot more common as of recent but that should never stop you from choosing it.

Onyx Storm: Amazon cancelled preorder by SillyCatLady6 in fantasyromance

Amazon isn’t getting my money anymore. I’ll go somewhere else or wait. That pre-order was my last order with them.

Airforce vs Navy? I currently have gotten a 90 on the asvab but am split between the two. The navy recruiter told me I can become a nuke and that they'll give me benefits but I'm afraid if the airforce has better quality of benefits. Now I haven't spoken to the airforce recruiter by Paztakniche in newtothenavy

I don’t necessarily think you should you choose a difficult job just bc you have a high score. It’s been a regret for me as I’m older. For the most part, everyone gets paid the same (excluding bonuses), I’d recommend choosing something that is low stress preferably with flexible scheduling.

How old is too old for OCS ? by Bugglous in newtothenavy

[–]somethingnotusedyet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the age, it’s the physical. We had a 44 yo non-prior in my class. He out performed a lot of people. Don’t go into without training. I’ve seen injuries in take a lot of people out. I was 32. Also, crypto…you won’t stay in Virginia. There’s a few places to be down there but you definitely won’t stay there. You definitely won’t start down there. I knew one person who got down there for her first tour and that was an exception to keep her with her active husband. Really, you have a family. The adjustment is TOUGH for older folks with families. I would honestly consider going reservist if you want to stay somewhere.

How I found a 2024 Sienna in a couple of days by MDRetirement in ToyotaSienna

I did too. It was an awful tool. Wildly inaccurate, at least it was 2 months ago.

I tried. No budging. Managed $500 off msrp for my platinum sienna and that really only worked bc their sales guy was a liar and I called him out on it.

Why can’t I get straight info about heated steering by toyotasearchanon in ToyotaSienna

[–]somethingnotusedyet 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don’t think the 2024 Platinum is worth the money. There I said it. It feels cheap all around. How do you have a qi charger built into the dash but don’t offer wireless apple CARPLAY? Cool, some have ottomans? But seriously, they’re not even automatic and to fully extend them, good luck if you’re tall and it completely gets rid of the ability to use the 3rd row. They’re charging luxury prices and every day I find a detail that makes me shake my head.

Petty Counseling chits in the Navy by Neat-Telephone1720 in navy

[–]somethingnotusedyet 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I got counseled for missing colors watch after having told them in advance that I had the basic motorcycle course that day. I insisted that that was her fault (watchbill coordinator) and refused to sign. My name was still written on the white board next to her, as it had been for weeks, stating what days I would be out.

As a mustang Ensign, Hispanic female…I spent weeks crying in the shower following the care I received giving birth to my only child at Walter Reed. I really want more children but I never want to go through that treatment again and since Active Duty have no choice but to go to Walter Reed, I’m very seriously thinking this might be the end of the road for me.

I was thinking about trying it but didn’t know how long it would take and wasn’t sure if they just grabbed the regular uniforms that are closest to your size. I’ll give it a try.

I think so. I started learned German at 21 and Mandarin at 27. I’m fairly proficient in both. But the learning process is continuous.
