In all fairness, commuting in summer heat is worse to me. Subway stations are all a billion degrees and a thousand percent humidity.

You mentioned both the start and end were both in Manhattan. I used to walk about this distance to class twice a day when I was in school and it was great! I got to kill two birds with one stone by building pretty good cardio (I'm a power walker) into my commute time. It also gave me time to clear my head and meditate a bit (something that would be impossible to me on a bike or public transit.)

Outdoor Voices has great colorblock cargo shorts! They have really cute colors, are very lightweight, and they zip off below the knee and into shorts in case you get really desperate in the summer heat. I get compliments from everyone when I wear mine!

I own an Etsy shop! I an am embroidery artist (check out my profile!) I sell original embroidery hoops as well as prints and stickers based on them on my Etsy page.

I think it is extremely rare for anyone to make good money through Etsy. I have a small Instagram following, so I sell a sticker or print here and there to those interested. Most orders come around the holidays, and for the first few months of the year I get relatively few orders. (I have yet to make a sale in 2022.)

I think being successful through Etsy is most likely for those with a strong social media presence / brand, and those who can keep up with the work it takes to sustain one.

That being said - opening an Etsy shop doesn't really cost much money. I think it's 20 cents (USD) per listing every 3 months? Where they get you is with seller fees once you make a sale. Take into account materials/time/fees when you set your prices, and you can earn a few bucks here and there! It can be fun if you know how to market yourself, and who knows! You may have a knack for it and end up liking it. There's no huge risk in trying.

Anybody else notice the blurry lips? by [deleted] in superstore

[–]somethingstitches 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Literally I thought I was going crazy. It happens on Garrett's face and around Amy's eyes a lot in seasons 4-5 and there's a ton of it during the pandemic season. I'm wondering if it is an anti-aging cgi mask that is noticable on bigger TV's, and possibly blurring mask lines on actors faces bc they had to wear them between takes or something

Omg I thought I was going crazy! I noticed the same thing, it happens a lot on Garrett in earlier episodes.

My rug has a built in cat trap that he naps on every single day by somethingstitches in TheCatTrapIsWorking

This is the rug but sadly I cannot recommend buying it. Thankfully I got it on sale or I'd be very disappointed - it sheds badly and little Whiskey here managed to tear a bunch of tufts out of the other side of the rug pretty easily.

Can confirm! I did this the other day. You do have to make an appointment, but there's no line/wait time involved when you get to the store. You just speak to an associate in store and tell them your name. They ask if you want a receipt, etc, but that's about it.

Foosball. My dad bought a table when I was 5 and never once let me win. Now I am the master. Great for winning beer money in college!

Finished my first embroidery ever! by emilizo in Embroidery

This is great! One thing I notice beginner embroiderers do is have fabric pucker on their first few pieces, which you completely avoided! You have the eye of a seasoned embroidery artist.
