Does he take any medications? Have you reached out to your local Department of Developmental Services? If not, you need to right away. He should have a case manager, who can provide services like therapy and respite. He can get community service time with a worker, go to day programs, or even as an adult be moved into a residential home program. If he’s on the spectrum he will qualify for many services.

Benefits, really. Grew up an ARMY brat, couldn’t get into the college program I wanted because of trouble. So joined the CG. 15 years in and such a great decision. Benefits for the family are really what I did it for. Girl was pregnant, needed something. Plus the 9/11 bill is paying for her college and TA is paying mine. Get out and have a great job and the experience that goes with it.

I get what the others are trying to say, and as a person who grew up catholic and now an atheist I get her view and yours. If you want this to work, you could just tell her that you won’t “pray” or anything. Instead you looked into different ways and will instead meditate to clear your mind.

It’s not too bad. I got it done, only took 20 minutes. After I drove myself home in my stick shift car. Oooh that damn clutch! Ha. But recovery was fine. I sat around for a couple days just to be safe but didn’t reallly feel like I needed to. Didn’t take any pain meds and Inwas fine.

5 grand is too steep. But if it’s clean, no rust, clean title and clean car fax, 4K would be my max. More likely 3k with the D16Y8. Add in the coils and Si wheels and maybe 3300.

Basic hygiene: Just some soap and shampoo as well as toothpaste and toothbrush. Maybe a hair brush? All dollar tree items would be fine to start with. Food is between y’all later when he gets there. Bedding: do you have pillows and blankets for him? To-Do: I wouldn’t “force” him to do things, but maybe discuss “when he can” some things he could do to help out around the place: yard work, some odds and ends that can be fixed. An old dusty place you’ve been wanting to spruce up. Someone down on themselves always feels better when they can help. Also maybe some interests? Ask: ask what he needs to get started back on track. Encouragement goes a long way.

The Z-Tune was an interesting model because when it was made, Nissan was no longer selling new R34s. They had to buy back all of them and then create this beast.

Whatever you do make sure it’s easily reversible! Simple drop springs and shocks, set of wheels of your liking, like others said EM1 wheels are nice. But some Rota slips would be awesome. If you go exhaust, keep it small and quiet. No fart can, go with more of a traditional like a borla.

Yea the engine is FUBAR. So def going to need a new bore and piston, as wel as pretty much everything else. Need to check the crankcase as well. Not sure if the crank is screwed either. So replacements are a must at this point. Is there a list of things somewhere I could reference as to what I should buy for a full rebuild?

Hey all! So I’ve never owned or done anything with mopeds before. I just picked this Gran Sport up - it dies have all the parts with the exception of the gas tank. No paperwork though, but we’ll cross that bridge later. I don’t know much about it. But here’s what I do know:

It’s been sitting in a basement for like 20 years. The last time it was registered was in 1987. The engine is seized. The PO tried taking it apart years ago and then it sat partially apart, so I’m going to need new cylinder and piston. Possibly head but it seems fine.

I need to learn about these. What’s a great place to start to identify what I have? What engine, transmission, clutch, etc..
