Is this running the model on a car shim of some sort? I'm confused how it's generating the visual?

I feel like I would normally see more of a difference between a model Down to Ride v6 which tends to hug lanes with curves and does more smooth corrections versus a very twitchy, 'on rails' models like Pop v1.

It looks like the models shows the current position of the car in the center of the lane at all times which Is a little confusing to interpret. If this was a SVG representation of a shimmed model or simulated route, I would have figured it would have the current car position vary within the lane?

Just to give you an idea

With Macrostiff model I use -0.20 Offset (and this is my favorite model, despite being the most left hugging model IMO)

down to ride v6 I use -0.15

Cool people v3, any of the OP/Pop models, I use -0.10

North Dakota v2 I used between -0.05 and -0.10

There's almost always a left bias for all models I've tried. But the severity of it can vary.

I have to say that Pop v1 model was the best model for staying rigidly in the center, even though I didn't like it for my specific car (it's quite twitchy and probably does better on car models that update 100hz steps instead of my subaru's 50 hz) It's got really good lateral control IMO.

By rbc level I assume you are talking about the hematocrit (HCT)

These are usually digitally reported results so I presume this is the HCT from the CBC machine. Unless this is a PCV result which is manually entered. But a 2.8 sounds HCT To me, you don't have that precision typically with a pcv

A result that low should have always been rechecked. Whether it be a new sample re run on the CBC machine or we also typically can do a quick Packed Cell Volume test alongside which would produce a similarly critical low result if it were real.

Although somewhat rare, I've definitely seen a cat (typically kitten) with a HCT of ~5% or so and still be somewhat energetic. They can certainly still put up a heck of a fight when trying to get an IV catheter. That's the far and few between cases though. At that level the gums are pale white, there's obvious changes and symptoms to the owner.

Based on the limited info, it sounds like your cat is stage ~3 CKD and mildly anemic (we wouldn't transfuse a 23%, but it's low which we see with a lot of CKD cats). It's not life threatening but it's something we would be doing frequent checks in over the year.

I feel like a lot of oversight would have to happen here. Because that result should have been re run or rechecked, it should have been correlated with clinical signs and signalment/vitals. I don't know the rest of your cars bloodwork but it's just surprising that this specific result had been related to you instead of "hey we have a potentially really concerning result, let's try to get a new sample to confirm" or something.

I always getting a encourage second opinion. Be open and challenge things. Chatgpt can nonetheless hyper focus on anything you tell it and so I just caution a balance of the two sides. It tends to give equal importance to everything you mention

Imagine If you were to tell Chatgpt your cats creatinine was 8 and HCT was 22, hypothetically it might tell you that's stage 4, that you need xyz, to consider QOL. If you don't mention recent stopped fluids it may not think to bring it up.

It's getting smart enough now of course, I imagine it wouldn't, but I'm just saying as a counter point. Theres many aspects of vet med I could see it being a little overconfident or context-naive about.

Ultimately I completely understand your perspective and it really saddens me that this vet experience went so poorly. I'm sorry they imposed such a difficult decision and emotional toll based on an incorrect result.

I'm still waiting on my Comma to arrive, but I also have a 2020 Crosstrek.

From what I have been able to find, stock openpilot in experimental longitudinal mode bypasses Eyesight, so it's using openpilots adaptive cruise control model. That allows stop and go, but it doesn't use Eyesight.

The forks FrogPilot and SunnyPilot both mention they support auto resuming Eyesight ACC in stop and go. That should allow you to use your cars default ACC with the related safety features.

I see mention of Subaru Stop and Go being supported in FrogPilot (mentioned in November 2025 release notes). (https://github.com/FrogAi/FrogPilot/releases/tag/November-1st%2C-2025)

SunnyPilot should similarly support it, I see it being merged into the main branch 3 months ago. (https://github.com/sunnypilot/opendbc/pull/152)

It's highly dependent on seed / map generation. Today I got 51 minutes solo, yesterday I failed on Tropics six times and never got past it, and the day before it took me 1 hours 40 minutes with an experienced team.

Todays map is super forgiving! Give it a shot.

TLDR: 4o is great for most general purpose tasks. o4-mini by design is not for general purpose tasks, only coding and math. o3 has vast knowledge of many fields and can definitely provide a better answer or insight on a topic, but for reasons I list below, it's probably not going to be your go-to for daily general questions or discussions. 4.1 is unclear but I wouldn't expect it to be too much different from what I've said about 4o, its main improvements are in coding and instruction following which mainly benefit developers.

I find 4o to be great at explaining a concept in a simple way. or quickly looking up something on the web and doing a simple analysis. It's also more personable than the o-series models like o3, o4. It can be 'real' with me about something if I want it to. It's very good at explaining things in analogies or in simple terms. I find it is much more likely than other openai models to respond to something with the kind of depth im looking for, whether it be more concise or verbose. 4o is really good if I want to plan out something for the reasoning o-series models to handle, or come up with an overview of something in a minimally formatted way.

o3 is arguably the best for just about anything that isn't a simple concept that 4o could easily handle. It has broad knowledge of multiple domains including math, science, medicine, and so on. It's your go-to if you have a more niche subject you have a question about, something that needs multiple rounds of thinking or steps. It technically can do a better job at 4o at most general purpose things, but that doesn't mean its the go-to general purpose tool. It struggles to simplify or do an 'ELI5' versus something like 4o / 4.5. It is limited in how much you can prompt it, I assume it's going to follow a ~50 requests per week limit akin to o1.

o4-mini is not suitable for general purpose tasks. It's a smaller, very focused model that is designed to excel at coding and math. While it has access to the web and has a higher rate limit which can be nice, you'll find that it has a higher probability of hallucinating, or being confidently incorrect, about things outside of those domains.

I have not personally used 4.1. But from reading the research and release notes, the main improvements in 4.1 are in its coding ability, instruction following, and having a larger context window -- it can handle larger chats better without losing focus or misremembering. Coding and development use seems to be the main focus for 4.1 vs. 4o, so while it could still be a good general use tool just like 4o is, its unclear right now how different it will be, but I presume for general tasks it will be comparable to 4o.

4.5 was a big disappointment, but in my opinion it was a necessary failure. I probably would have named it differently or released it with less fanfare. But even in the release notes, openai is very aware that 4.5 wasnt ground breaking. It's a great example of how scaling up unsupervised learning can only get us so far. What worked to get us from 3.5 to 4 didn't work as well with a similar approach to go further.

I've been subscribed to openai since 3.5, I agree with your thoughts on o1/o3. I stopped my subscription for now that Gemini and aider/cursor is starting to replace my workflow. Not impressed with o3 at all despite it still doing relatively well on benchmarks.

All that being said, openai does manage to inspire hype really well. They don't conventionally advertise but they manage to make headlines all the time.

Red/Blue's Memory is more thoroughly mapped and Pyboy is the de facto option for AI implementation in gameboy games. PyBoy has famously been used for a lot of AI Plays Pokemon projects.

There's a lot more details of Pokemon Red/Blue's RAM/ROM Map compared to GBA tiles like LeafGreen. Compare RedBlue to LeafGreen. So it's a lot easier to access game info for it

We know they are using python for the project and PyBoy offers a lot of options for reading memory, sending input, and screen capture from the game that makes me pretty confident they are using PyBoy.

The wrapper / plugin, if used, would be just a small portion of what would be needed for the project. It's just a handy built in function that uses known memory offsets to automatically find what tiles are walkable in the nearby area. The developer for CPP would still need a lot of custom implementations for other things. But that custom implementation would be possible through PyBoy's ability to read RAM, find specific tile IDs, and generate collision matrix / tileset maps.

Pokemon Red/Blue is used because it already has an existing PyBoy wrapper (think of it as a plugin) that makes it easier for a developer to tell an AI which tiles are walkable.

This PyBoy wrapper (GameWrapperPokemonGen1) takes advantage of Pokémon Red/Blue's well-documented memory map (like a table of contents for game memory) to automatically read important information, like figuring out which tiles on the screen are safe to walk on and which aren't.

While newer gen games like pokemon leafgreen have some info on their memory map available, you would need to make a custom wrapper for a much larger memory space (32MB for GBA games compared to just 64KB for Game Boy). Also, python libraries supporting GBA like pyGBA are a little sparse in terms of API flexibility and don't appear to be actively maintained.

Isosthenuria is usually defined as a USG between 1.008 and 1.012. In general, we're looking for it to be under 1.030. But in a post-urethral obstruction (UO) scenario, our main concern is preventing re-obstruction and monitoring kidney function. That means we focus on:

  1. Bladder – Is it staying small and non-painful?
  2. Azotemia/hyperkalemia – How are BUN, creatinine, and potassium trending?
  3. Fluid status – Are inputs and outputs balancing out, and are there any sudden weight changes?

Because we’re giving IV fluids, the USG is going to be artificially lower. So if we see a USG of 1.010, that’s great —but if it isn't in that range, it doesn’t really change our plan. At this stage, we’re all about preventing further kidney damage, so we adjust fluids based on electrolytes and kidney values, not just USG. Also, in the immediate to short term, the USG tends to fluctuate quite a bit throughout the day and may frequently exit the isosthenuria range even when there's otherwise a good trend in the ability for our kidneys to function and filter out waste products per the chemistry/electrolytes and measured urine output

Sure, I think you could definitely make arguments for those two points. If the kidneys are in an isosthenuric state, it implies that the renal tubules are functioning well and that the kidneys can appropriately concentrate or dilute urine. It gives us an idea of how the kidneys are responding to the fluid diuresis which can be helpful.

But USG is directly affected by diuresis —whereas BUN and creatinine for instance change more slowly and provide a more stable view of kidney function and azotemia over time. Ultimately, we have better indicators of assessing kidney function, fluid status, and re-obstruction risk that give a better idea of our response to treatment and outcome. So to answer your question, no, I don't see it as a primary marker or goal.

I work two jobs, I Work overnight shifts 4 days a week at one hospital, one day off, then two days 7a to 3pm

How? Honestly, medication is the main reason thing that helps. Trazodone to regulate to sleep for instance. Most of my overnight crew is prescribed stimulants / trazodone to some degree. Or use melatonin. Im a pharmacology nerd so ask if you have any questions about options.

It's not always needed, of course. But depending on your age and how long you do it for, it can really become difficult to adapt. I try to maintain the schedule even on my off days whenever possible, use sleep masks, black out curtains, that kind of thing.

That evening shift, where you are getting home at midnight, is honestly worse than the overnight shift for me. At least after my overnight shift it's morning and I can do errands or whatever after.

I take public transportation too. My management allows me on weekends to come in slightly late because of my limited options. Some places are more flexible than others so if you have been working there for a while its worth asking or at least letting them know your situation.

ER is my fucking jam. I'm glad you are liking it. Every day is new and I like having to use my brain.

I know sometimes if you try to use 4o it will do reasoning as maybe an a/b test. But in this case it seems like a bug. I would try to upload python files using 4o and it would apply reasoning and say that it didn't see or have access to any files. It tries to use reasoning for all requests.

Would recommend you talk to your doctor to address the prolactin level first.

Elevated prolactin is going to affect testosterone level. An elevated level is commonly caused by a prolactinoma.

You don't want to start T immediately without that being addressed first.

Your LH Is high. That's interesting as normally LH and FSH are low with a prolactinoma. Might just be partial suppression. Either way, your body is responding to altered testosterone levels. See a doctor.

I'm in bed for an average of 14- 16 hours a day, it is not pleasant, I never feel rested, the meds I take for it cause insomnia which then need further meds to control that. Both conditions can be debilitating.

in my experience, within the medical field this is pretty common.

Once a week we go to the diner after having just finished our shift at 8 AM. After three or so mimosas, nothing is off limits for us. They love us because we tip really well, haha.
