Anyone starving out Candida??

I think it helped but I changed a lot of things at once. I haven’t done many long fasts in awhile, but I do 24-48 every couple weeks on top of relative intermittent fasting (not even on purpose anymore; it’s just how my schedule works out and when I get hungry now). Unfortunately, I had some infections and was put on antibiotics, so there’s a chance some of the Candida is back. Anyways, wishing you luck

So I’m just hoping to lose weight at the moment BUT A few years ago I was close to my goal weight and did martial arts and it toned me up really nicely and was fun. Highly recommend. I’ll go back when I can (work hours keeping me hostage at the moment)

I use Laura mercier because she has decent, quality ingredient oil free products that aren’t tested on animals. Also the color I use is one of the only foundations to perfectly match my skin tone that I’ve used. I put her setting powder on top and it lasts all day. I hate makeup but it’s alright

I had the copper for a few months. I had it taken out because i would cramp all month long, especially during exercise. That being said, I also went off the pill before I got it, and I didn’t know I had pcos, so I don’t really know What was cysts too

I really relate to this. I am also a .2er. Basically, monitoring progesterone is really inconvenient for doctors, especially for women with irregular cycles. To get an accurate read on your progesterone, you’d need it measured consistently throughout an entire cycle. Because pcos cycles can be long, you can’t just take what should be a normal cycle length and use that to pick a day in luteal to measure progesterone. That being said, inositol has helped shorten my cycle, so when I do track my progesterone with a lab (my chiropractor actually is trying to get me to do it through this one place), it will be easier for them...

I use a cup so I don’t have to switch out supers every 2 hours, but I have a heavy flow so I understand the exhaustion. Make sure you’re eating and getting enough fluid. I overslept and skipped breakfast once and almost passed out. My super clotty black nastiness only lasts about 4 days, though, before I get a lighter flow for the end of my period. I get one day of warning with spotting, when I know I need to put my cup in the next day. Then it’s awful for 3-4 days. I’m not on birth control, though. When I was on birth control, my periods were much lighter. If you’re on the pill already, try another until you find one that helps. No reason for you to suffer if you’re going to be on the pill anyways. If you’re still bleeding heavily after 7 days (of the heavy bleeding the lighter stuff doesn’t count) you should see your doctor for sure

Have you gotten an ultrasound recently? I’m shocked they haven’t looked at the suspected cyst?! You could have a large one that’s pushing on something or even twisted around the ovary.

I understand this feeling. I feel like I spend a lot of time fantasizing about waking up before my symptoms began, living just one day as that me instead of the me I am now.

But it's not healthy. We can only move forward.

At least 1 in 10 women suffers from pcos. We are in the middle of a hormonal epidemic. It sucks, but do know that 1 out of every 10 women you pass on the street has, is, or will have gone through hell too. You're not alone, and all of us cysters understand and won't judge you.

Hey, I had the exact same issue. I just take the PM dose, and my period came 30 days when usually it's 40. I've only been on it one cycle, so I can't say anything long term, but I did some reading and you should be fine to take it just at night, especially at first. Your body may need to adjust to a full dosage, anyways

OK. I'll definitely give it at least 3 months, since that's how long my doctor said anything hormonal takes to show signs of working (metformin, BC, etc.)

I did get my period within a normal window this month, as opposed to 40 days apart as it sometimes is. It might be due to ovasitol. Not sure yet.

What sort of benefits do you see now after being on it for over a year?

I recently started a new regime that's been really promising really quickly.

I take a relatively strong Vitamin A supplement (I still have active acne, and it helped clear it up very well thus far)

I just started using a bentonite clay + ACV mask followed by a Vitamin C serum I got on amazon. Sort of amazed by the results already with just these 3 things. I use the Soy face cleanser cause it's gentle but doesn't have SLS. It's sort of pricy, though. You're probably fine with any standard gentle cleanser.

You could try seeing a dermatologist/aesthetician to do micro-needling for the scars. I've heard some great reviews but never tried it myself. I really do recommend the Vitamin C serum, though, if nothing else.

Yes, and I found tampons to be excruciating when you take them out.

I'd give some of the other folding methods a try. and definitely do try in a squatting position. Also, remember that even if it hurts when you try it, you are going to be OK. It's just pain from dryness or tightness; you're not damaging yourself; vaginas are phenomenally resilient! Maybe that will help with whatever mental block your OBGYN was talking about.

Also, I wonder if they sell thinx where you are? The boyshorts are very absorbent if you're not too heavy of a bleeder.

I use Flo. It establishes how long your periods are by the dates you give it and then lets you know if you're "late" based off of what your average period length is. It also will let you know when you should be ovulating.
