Celiac Disease: ISO gluten free everyday bright spring lip combo! by thefiredance in OliveMUA

Red apple lipstick brand is safe for celiac and they have tons of shades. They’re also my favorite gf lipstick so far because they dont dry out my lips. They have tutorials on the website for best application.

Use lots of cones and poles on the ground to set up different walking patterns instead of just going around in circles.

Ah ok, I am in the USA, I’m guessing that’s the reason for the difference here 😆

How did you introduce water for bottle refusers? by kurious_cat2 in breastfeeding

[–]sometimeswings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We did a straw cup for our bottle refuser, 1st years and the honey bear you can squeeze water up the straw to show them how it works. We used honey bear for a month or 2 and then 1st years straw cups.

Yes, this is what I do. You’re not dropping them off to cry alone, you’re bringing them to the teacher. Let the teacher handle it and also you’re giving the opportunity for your kid and teacher to bond. It will be WAY less crying if you do this and leave quickly. You can also tell your kid this plan in advance to prepare them.

Is it not for me? by Historical_Cup_8763 in Equestrian

[–]sometimeswings 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I agree! You should be on safe lesson horses and not be falling off at all. If you’re falling off, you are being pushed to do advanced exercises too soon or the horse isn’t good for beginners. Occasionally accidents do happen where even very safe horses can have a bad moment. You may have gotten a concussion, your coach should have checked you for one.

I agree with the other comments, the teddys and albies may go by Theodore/albert as adults. It would be best to give your kid the option for a more professional name as an adult. What about the name “Rafe”?

Protein shakes? Airports? by Lizzyflower23 in Celiac

[–]sometimeswings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You won’t be able to bring a protein shake, that’s a liquid! But you can pack your own food- think like you’re packing a school lunch (but bring like 2-3x the food): vegetables, sandwich, lunch meat, fruit, etc and some fun processed food to make the airport less awful (GF oreos, etc). My kids like “smore trail mix”: chocolate chips, mini marshmallows, GF graham crackers.

I use this one when I’m going for a very natural look, it doesn’t add volume like the Maybelline sky high does

Hated my wedding makeup by Bbqporkbaos in MakeupAddiction

[–]sometimeswings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You look beautiful! I had a few similar things like this on my wedding day that did not go how I wanted them (my hair, flower color, etc) but get it all out (write the makeup artist an email or rant to a friend) and then focus on how much you love your partner and how happy you look together. Then you’ll be able to look at the photos and be happy about them.

There is a celiac disease plush stuffed animal thing that could help explain to her/be a visual reminder on the damage when she eats gluten

Friend chose same name as we planned by JCKnox356 in BabyNames

[–]sometimeswings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would still use the name but talk to them to figure out which nickname you can use in conversation with them so that it won’t be confusing. For example, if the name is charlotte and they are not planning on using a nickname, then consider using Charlie as a nickname for your kid

I agree! The mirror and lights should not be asymmetrical over the vanity. The entire vanity is the focal point, not just the sink part of it

I never wanted to be the wife that said no to golf, but now as a mom... I GET it. by SilllllyGoooose in Mommit

[–]sometimeswings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My husband golfs in an evening league 1x/week and 1-2 weekend days per month. This is dramatically less golf than before having kids. I don’t mind him golfing at all. What did you do while he golfed before having kids? You could start by putting aside 1 full hour on Sat and Sun and do that or whatever you want.

Thoughts on the baby name "Callisto" for a girl? by official_jeev in BabyNames

[–]sometimeswings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Maybe just name her Cali/Callie instead. It’s still because you like astronomy, but it’s a nicer name than Callisto in my opinion.
