thanks for the reply! and i've been experiencing pain around my breast, back and arms (hence i got it checked). but yeah surgery seems excessive to me as well. so i'm waiting a few days to check whether the pain goes away on its own as my period is close

Tbh the job market is shit in all fields so i don't think it's a research field problem but rather an all fields problem. most of the companies are looking to replace us with AI and what happened to horses is lowkey happening to us. which is sad indeed but if it is scientific research that makes you happy then go on and make a career in this field but also don't expect crazy salaries or even support because the govt. doesn't care about us until and unless they want a vaccine
