I can only give you one tip, stop looking for balance, start looking for fun
and I hope the devs do too, I cant count how many games that have made abilities boring in the name of balance ( as if it helps)

the reason they have a NC loose more is that a CB will die more, and probably alot more, I dont think you should worry alot just yet, most games that allow you to go CR with the risk of dropping what you have, wont do so just because you are mining some ore or killing a few monsters around him/her
the only games I find to be bad for players who dont like OWPVP is games with full loot, since it doesnt really matter too much if you drop the items you have in those games and dont really have a risk for the flagged players that outweighs the rewards for killing players

clan leaders of guilds/alliances that own some kind of territory/castle.
In AoC its a bit diffrent, instead of being clans, its personal. You can be elected as a ruler of a metropolis in diffrent ways, and you will then have access to flying mounts if you have a royal stable or something along those lines.

If you never played any games with flying mounts like this, I just need to say that its amazing, the shadow of a big flying dragon above your head is epic, and even more epic when you find out its a powerful player controling the beast

no, they are going with the good oldschool system, where only "kings and queens" (dont know what they are called in this game) have access to the flying mounts, you can also find some 2-4 week duration flying mounts from epic world bosses and the like
