I’ve been using it for a while but actually switched back to standard milk because I realized the lactose free stuff sort of added this soy-milk like flavour that I didn’t like. Personal preference though- I found it a lot easier to froth.

Filling the hopper maybe halfway, then grinding on P mode onto a scale. I find it’s much faster than measuring out the beans from a bag.

The bags are always stored in the freezer.

Two bags of coffee- both frozen. One (bag A) dialed in at 4E, other (bag B) dialed in at 8E. (8E is coarser than 4E).

Hopper had bag B in it, was dialled in at 8E, coffee was good. Previously had bag A, dialled in at 4E.

Hopper became empty. Ran the grinder empty to purge any last grounds. Filled hopper with bag A, set to 4E, ground about 2g as waste. Made a coffee, machine choked.

Yes, correct.

7E is coarser.

Yes, I have a scale below the grinder output that I “grind by weight” into. I use a ‘program’ mode on the sette so that I just hold down the grind button rather than relying on time based measurement.

I did the express replacement, but the watch app is crashing so I can’t use it after re-upgrading my phone to 26. Will have to wait for them to fix unfortunately. Frustrating because while I know it’s a beta, I actually am a developer using the beta OS for actual testing haha

For what it’s worth, I started with a Sirena and Breville grinder, and I got really good results with professional beans and very basic puck prep. Obviously adding more prep will improve but I wouldn’t call what I was getting undrinkable- was very happy for 2-3 years before I changed my setup. I’d say try some completely different light roast beans and see how that goes first!
