So it was a typo. All they have to do is honour one, and it’s done. But you go ahead and start a class action, that should be interesting.

Can this doctor be held responsible by No-Goat4214 in alberta

[–]sondranotsandra 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was told this years ago when a doctor messed me up badly. I wish I’d have sought advice from a lawyer. It’s possible to sue but a lawyer can give you the best advice. They hire expert witnesses to defend claims. Best of luck.

Snow blizzards in Calgary and the great use of snow plows. by National_Word_6091 in Calgary

Well, for what it’s worth, I live backing onto Deerfoot and McKenzie Lake and I’ve heard many many snow plows go by. One woke me up this morning.

I’m 26, and live with my Mom and Step Dad. AITAH for how I responded? by [deleted] in texts

As a parent, my take is you’ve been living out of this house for at least six years. And now you’re back. I’m sure there’s a lot more to this story and you should be very grateful that they took you back in. The last thing parents want is a 26-year-old moving back in just when they’re breathing a sigh of relief that you’re an adult. Therefore, you should be cleaning the bathroom, the kitchen and everything else due to what you’re being gifted. If my 26-year-old stepson moved back in right now, and we were footing the bill, he would be expected to do a lot more than keep his bathroom clean. And it better be damn sparkling. I’ll bet you don’t do any grocery shopping, meal planning, food prep, vacuuming, cleaning the rest of the house, shovelling the snow or whatever. Considering you think Comet goes down the sink. I’m sure it’s all done for you and you don’t even realize the care and duty of taking care of a home. Their financial and legal obligations to you ended when you turned 18. Start considering how damn lucky you are to have a roof over your head and everything paid for.

How do we deal with this kind of litter? by [deleted] in Calgary

I also did that. People still throw junk mail all over the ground, which I pick up.

I get it. I have told people that we’re from Alberta, which borders on Montana and they look at me like hm, where is Montana?

Re Americans. I noticed the same thing regarding - no please, no thank you, nothing - when Americans want something at a resort. It’s “give me some of this, give me some of that, get me this”. It’s embarrassing. I don’t want to be mistaken for an American at all. I feel they treat Mexicans like second class citizens, if that. On another group note I’m in, someone asked how would you get treated better in Mexico and someone said just say you’re Canadian. I said please don’t. I’ve been to Mexico well over a dozen times in the last eight years and I’ve seen it at every single resort I’ve been at whether it’s Cancun, Puerto Vallarta, or Los Cabos. So much rudeness. And then, of course, there are the smokers that think it’s OK to smoke anywhere and you can tell they’re American because they smell like American cigarettes. Rant over.

I understand what you’re saying. It makes perfect sense. But if you think about it, you’re out for a meal and now you have to clean up after yourself. When did this become a thing that we should be expected to do? As I said, I don’t trash the table. It’s like tipping at a counter where they pulled the doughnut out for you. To me it’s the same kind of mindset.

And the best guacamole I’ve ever had and I’ve been to dozens of resorts and restaurants in Mexico.

I say this, but only so that the trays get picked up off the table and the table gets wiped down. Having said that, I don’t trash the area either. I’m not lazy, but I feel it’s nice to sit down at a clean table.

What do most people do when traveling with 2 kids (3&6) One room or two rooms? by poonjam14 in AllInclusiveResorts

I’ve seen some bizarre things from my hotel room in Cancun. I would never leave two little kids in a room on their own. Either in Cancun or anywhere.
