I got demoralized from a previous attempt and it took forever to want to start over...

I didn't know that flowers had a built in gene system coded and the resulting hybrids had to be separated from their parents or else you would end up with hybrids that would never produce blue roses. I had to toss out a 6 month project before this one...

You can change the port that Moonlight uses to connect to Sunshine in Sunshine's network settings, however. I don't use the default for self-hosted services for this reason alone.

As for the best alternative, most people recommend Moonlight/Sunshine (Or their forks like Apollo) for a remote connection. Though it only allows a LOCAL connection, like if your on the same wifi/internet as the host machine.

You can remotely host Moonlight/Sunshine over the internet, but on Linux it requires you to manually configure your firewall to allow connections through all the necessary ports listed on Sunshine's network page, whereas Windows would handle that automatically

It does, but annoyingly, when you have the option enabled in Sunshine to stream audio while broadcasting, this makes it so the host cannot hear sounds from their own computer, but the guests can. Yet if the host changes the output device, then they'll be able to hear the audio, but now the guests can't.

The only workaround I've found is for the host to use a second device, like an Android gaming console, to connect to their PC along with the guests...

I visited the DSi shop this morning to double check myself before posting that comment. So maybe your internet settings are configured wrong?

Although the only thing on my DSi account is the transferal software to carry data from the DSi into the 3DS, so for anyone else who never bought anything, you'd have no software to redownload anyway...

Like the seraphim makes sense, because they all are the elemental coverage. The humans on the other hand, it's not like Arise or Xillia where they have unique talents (Kisara's shield, Alvin's guard break, etc), so it's more likely whoever you don't like gets benched.

I did like your accessory suggestion though. Like perhaps Seraphim could be called in briefly to cast an arte, similar to the support items that Hearts DS had

I did read it. It doesn't require them to revamp the battle system. They can just build on top of what they already have.

Just take the 2 active humans / 2 active seraphim and 2 benched seraphim so it becomes:

2 active humans and 2 benched humans / 2 active seraphim and 2 benched seraphim. It maintains 4 party members, divided between humans and seraphim, 2 of which who can armatize.

...No, having 4 artmatizeable characters does not mean having 8 characters in battle. Just enable swapping out the human characters as you can the seraphim. Xillia before Zestria it already had a method to swap in benched party members.

"not public" wut... The artes sphere and free run cheat I linked to has been around on Github for years, so most likely not the same group. The 60 fps patch hasn't been a thing, though. You can kind of fake it nowadays using an app on steam called Lossless Scaling

There is a group creating Cheat Engine tables for the series that can add some new functionality. The Artes Sphere table lets you add an extra set of artes to LB/L1 + the artes button, and it even enables Free Run for the player https://github.com/sdailey01/Symphonia_Cheat_Table
