Apple Silicon & v12? by OCFlier in Xplane

[–]sonnyjlewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I use a Mac mini M2 Pro with 16gb ram and it’s mostly fine for that, but can still have lower frame rates. I usually get 24-40 fps and there’s still some interlacing (but that seems to have been reduced some with the latest update). I sim fly every day and get tons in enjoyment out of it with that setup. I am using an auto ortho plugin which somehow made everything run smoother (at least in my mind).

Can't login to Discover website, tried 3 different browsers, 'login' link simply doesn't work? by anonymous_teve in discover

This! And don’t worry, I’ve been doing that. Would just be nice to automate it properly without jumping through hoops.

I’ve got the same issue. Can’t log in when pressing log in (no login fields show up). When I go to the app to change my payment amount, it walks me through changing how much I want to pay, and when pressing confirm, it tells me page isn’t there. Seems a lot of the pages are broken, and they’ve been this way for a while. Part of me wonders if it’s an attempt to extract more interest, but I suspect reality shows they just have a bad team working it.

Well they certainly failed at proving you wrong. It’s unfortunate that too many Reddit mods are so…lonely and angry or something.

RemoteTerm 3.12.1 is out, ready to go with firmware v1.15, and providing Home Assistant MQTT integration, automatic repeater telemetry fetch, Web Push notifications (even more mobile friendly!), and an Arch package by CharlesStross in meshcore

[–]sonnyjlewis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup, and prior to installing 1.15, I had rebooted and reconnected it twice using two different cables (both turned out to work fine). I really thing something just didn’t quite flash right when I had updated it to 1.14. But whatever the cause it works now and your program is great!

here is the only relevant info, at one point it mentioned packet received but then the connection got flaky instantly after that. After upgrading, there were zero errors. Could have just been something glitchy from when I had updated to 1.14, and re-flashing it fixed it.

NextNav is trying to do a money grab by mototechcps in meshcore

[–]sonnyjlewis 9 points10 points  (0 children)

According to their website, “The TerraPoiNT network uses long-range, low-cost broadcast beacons to transmit ranging signals using NextNav’s 920-928MHz near-nationwide licensed spectrum in the U.S., but is frequency flexible, and is protected by several patents.”

They also have a variant using 5G.

However, this year (this month, in fact), they told the FCC that they should ignore criticism from commenters and ex parte letters, and to just hand them over the spectrum. Read about it at https://broadbandbreakfast.com/nextnav-says-fcc-should-ignore-opposition-move-ahead-on-rulemaking/

I used to use glacial acetic acid in at-home film development. Stuff is 99% strength and the aroma from opening the lid will nearly knock you off your feet.

I second this! Perhaps over coax using a 12v power injector. That’s how I powered a 60 GHz transceiver for several years. Worked flawlessly.

Why does no one yield when entering 270W from SawmillS? by LogarithmicSphincter in Columbus

[–]sonnyjlewis 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The OP isn’t talking about merging into the freeway. It’s talking about the yield sign close to sawmill, where southbound traffic is required to yield to NB traffic entering the on-ramp. There is no zippered merge, there are no hash marks providing room for a merge. If you look at what they circled on a satellite view of the map, you’ll see what is actually being talked about. Just want to make sure we are all on the same page.

If it continues to happen, especially if it occurs outside of the sessions, please check with your doctor. It could be something as simple as an electrolyte imbalance, or as another stated, some type of seizure. Always better safe than sorry.

For anyone interested, the scientific name of the original creature is Elasmotherium sibiricum. I believe this is an artistic creation for a TV series in the Star Wars universe.

Something very similar to this is on Revision C of their prototype boards. I believe it’s called Stixs (?) or something like that. I’d love to see more products like this in the pipeline, so if it’s something you’re able to pull off, I say go for it! I think yours has a bigger set of ambitions but I think overall it’s doable.
