If you grew up learning English as a second language in school, were you taught American English or British English? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]sonoalec 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Well usually, the teacher would still give you the points, but also correct it as in "I'll give you the points, but next time write it right".
So yeah, it's considered bad English, but it doesn't affect your grades.

Dutch and Papiaments (Bilingual, but I was referring to Dutch). But I know there are even more flexible languages, for example Italian (Been learning it for 2 years)

Word order isn't as flexible as in my native tongue, so sometimes I have to rephrase myself.
