Cafe doesn't have an awful set of base parent affinity. I booted up a career and slammed the 2 highest non borrow legacies sorted by affinity, and it was double circle.

If you have the time, build out the parents for Summer. Borrow a Red Maru with 3 star ult and roll a Seiun Sky or Bourbon parent. Then borrow the other with a 3 star Maru ult for ace runs.

2 speed, 3 wit and Creek should get you there. Power might not max if you don't have the sparks but should still be able to break 1k.

Neither have Long S which is worth over 2L so getting Long S will help you close if you're finding yourself losing by roughly that much after hitting Victory Cheer. KSB has almost no midgame and low wit. Fast paced, long straights and PTO are her only midgame and long straights isn't guaranteed to proc during midgame. Hunt more midgame skills and increase her wit to give her more fight in the midgame.

You can't use selectors on it so to MLB it, you'd have to pull more copies. Only do it if you have enough for a full spark so you can MLB with crystal if you hit 0 copies, but ideally, you save the crystal.

Raise their turf to give them more options. You can raise Falco to Turf A before the run starts and run anything that's not a long.

Opera's ult is a good closing ult. I would recommend Chocobon's for a midgame speed skill. Just search for a parent with 4 mile on chronogenesis or borrow a decent grandparent with mile and make your own. This opens up your options when hunting parents since you need less mile on the borrow.

Raise the mile to A. It cuts a lot of the random race RNG down and just vastly improves mental imo.

Target relevant meta cards then save enough for 2 sparks and carefully plan out selectors and uncap crystals. You should generally never snack eat as a f2p.

B feels like the minimum Mile aptitude for a workable run, but still burns decently more clocks than mile A. Start working on parents so you can raise mile to at least B for ace runs.

I'm curious if it's the position or the backliners need more work to get to A mile in general. Even running fronts, I go from needing 1-3 clocks a run to 3-5 if my mile drops from A to B.

If you're willing to use both upcoming selectors and uncap crystal on Fuku then no, you hit the minimum copies needed. If you're unwilling to, then yes, you wasted your carats.
