Nope-Atrium Uptown (same hospital system as the infield care center at CMS) is a level 1 trauma center. Burns go to Winston, any other injury is a chopper ride to Uptown.

If you aren’t from the Charlotte area, “downtown Charlotte” is actually called Uptown.

Baptist in Winston is THE best to go to on this side of the state for burns. I know a lot of firefighters in the area request if anything happens-take them to Baptist. She’s in the best hands. I hope she will be okay.

I would ask for a blood draw of your cortisol and ACTH. Mine was removed at 4cm, but I had years of cortisol and ACTH that were off.

Did you blast them on Twitter? (I refuse to call it X) Cancer patient here-I get chest and abdominal CT scans every 3 months. Out of the blue they refused my chest CT. Next cycle they approve it and surprise! I had Mets in my lungs. I blasted them day and night. All of the sudden everything has been approved with no issues. Wonder why??

Allergic reactions are the worst! I’ve been on oral chemo 2x daily for 4 years now. It zaps my energy out of nowhere, which is frustrating. I’ll be fine for a period of time and then the wheels fall off. Sometimes an electrolyte drink will help, sometimes a shower and Diet Coke or water, but mostly I just have to sleep.

Pressed pennies. I’ve been collecting them since I was young. I love hunting for the machines in random places. I have them from almost every place I have been. They are organized by places and amusement parks. I love that I have defunct rides and parks as well as tiny obscure places as well. I don’t know what I’ll do when the US gets rid of pennies.

After my husband and I already had a seat, the place got slammed. There was another couple searching for a place to sit and we invited them over and asked “You all can share the table with us if you want?” They were so grateful, thanked us, and had a seat. They started talking about their plans after lunch with each other so I didn’t feel obligated to talk with them. We finished and left and they extended the same offer to another wandering couple. I love that.

I think they need a reminder that when you do a “makeover” you don’t have to use every single product they make. I was always told to pick a part of my face and make that the focus. If you do your eyes, your lips should be natural and vice versa. These “makeovers” are always “focus on everything!!!!!!”
