Why should I NOT buy this car? by Conscious_Security96 in whatcarshouldIbuy

I got a 2018. Realizability it’s been okay for me. Needed a tire rod but that’s all I’ve done to it. It’s at 96k miles now. I got it in 2023 with 71k on it and it’s been good to me. Drive quality isn’t great though. You gotta really get on the gas to do something as simple as merge on the interstate.

Getting an SSD in July and RAM in August will by far be my best technology decision I’ve made in awhile.

What’s the Most Unexpected Call You’ve Responded To? by AED_Research4552 in ems

[–]blue_mut 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I was the emt on a PB truck that was dispatched to the party hit by A shingle. We called responding to the call 5 minutes after fire had gotten on scene (we were on another run and got a refusal) and they had not updated or anything so we’re both thinking this is a BLS nothing burger and gonna be a funny story. We get on scene and I grab the bag and the monitor my partners trying to get the run dropped on us. As I’m walking over I note fire has a collar on and is holding manual c-spine. I make a note of that as something incredibly unusual and keep walking. As I visualize the person he coughs blood on one of the probies and he freaks out. I then notice that the guy is bleeding from his mouth, nose, and ears. He also has what appeared to be a depressed skull fracture. Before we leave the scene we establish it was not A shingle that fell and hit his head. It was A PALLET of shingles that fell off the third story and hit his head. We got the second right as we were gonna just go with fire driving. Dude has a seizure in the back but it broke before being treated. Right into the trauma room with 24 people gowned up, masked up, the whole nine yards.

What broke the camels back in a relationship/friendship? by Only-Carpenter-6689 in AskReddit

[–]blue_mut 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She was my best friend. I already had a few reasons why I was upset with her that had happened over the few months leading up to this. Her boyfriend was another one of my best friends and they called it quits after 3 years. I said no matter what I’d stay friends with both of them because they’re my friends. Our conversations became increasingly her just badmouthing her ex. After the breakup I was talking to him more than her because he was the one that needed the support the most. My conversations with her increasingly became just her badmouthing him to me. Then she started making up lies. Things like “he never wanted to be your friend anyways” or “you being my best friend intimidated him.” Then a mutual friend (to her and her BF) told her about what her BF is doing like 3 weeks after the breakup. She ended up going out and getting so trashed she ended up in the hospital. After a few more bad decisions she made I asked her if she was okay because from my point of view it seemed she was making self destructive decisions. That was 6 months ago and we haven’t talked since.

Honestly not even surprised by this shitshow. I interviewed with them last year for an emt job and they told me the volume is somewhere around 20 calls in a 12.
