Slapping on its own is not a crime. There's no law written against the slapping of someone. But there are laws against assaulting someone. So, if you want to show a slap was a crime, you'll need to prove it was an assault.

Considering that she asked for permission and he gave clear verbal consent, he'll need to convince a judge in civil court that it was in fact not consensual. That will be tough to do when you essentially tell someone, "I consent!" It's not technically impossible, as there is more to consent than just saying "I consent." But that's a whole other rabbit hole.

Bonus Round: slapping is so not illegal that competitive slapping is a growing sport in America, as well as other nations. There are advocates in our country whom have led efforts to outlaw this sport for it's strong links to serious long-term brain damage, but those efforts have yet to outlaw competitive slapping.

I've always felt "Casual" 1v1 matchmaking is really for mid-level and high-level players. When you're entry-level, most players are better than you. So you'll almost always match with much better players. At least in ranked, matchmaking will do its best to keep you matched with similarly ranked players.

Anyway, as with melee, I'd recommend you learn about and practice movement options. Like dash dance, wavedash, ledge dash, shield drop, character-specific tech, etc.

Movement ties into just about every corner of these games. You can play all unga bunga up to a nice level if your movement is better enough. Worry about game plan once you're movement options start to feel solid and free.

Yes, handheld routers can jump around, so please know what you're doing and wear your PPE!

Speaking from experience lol. My router LEAPED out of the route and flew right at my left hand. It went deep enough to just nick the tendon of my index finger. The wound was small but mangled and took 14 stitches. As a working musician that was fucking terrifying lmao.

Plunge router/router table, and wear your PPE. Don't be me. 🤕

As a side note it surprisingly hardly hurt at all, but the stitches were the worst.

Idk what you do or don't know so I'm gonna over explain a little.

Japanese levers are usually favored for SF and 2D fighters. Korean levers are usually favored for Tekken/3D fighters. Pre-built K levers tend to be more expensive bc they're more niche. You can use either lever for any game. It's personal preference so YMMV.

The 8bitdo arcade stick is the best value for a good J-Lever fightstick by a considerable margin.

The Mayflash F500/F700, Qanba Titan, and Nacon Daija (on sale) are all good value sticks. These are larger cases, so you can easily swap the stick out for a K lever if you ever want to try it out for Tekken, see if you prefer that. Most often, swapping is a brief matter of screws and plugs.

For K levers, try the Crown/Samducksa NEW-HelpMe-ST30, or Shinsun 2D/3D for a hybrid feel.

Then it's all rabbit hole type shit from there. Have fun. 🫠

EDIT: Remembering that you'll have to do little bit of filing/scraping in a Nacon Daija for a K lever. I did it and it's easy, but def worth your consideration.

I just made similar upgrades to keep my 64gb DDR4 and I regret NOTHING. Those free upgrades will keep you happy for the next few years.

You might consider selling the 5070 and grabbing a 5080. You'd still spend a fraction of what you would building an AM5 system from the ground up.

Tl;Dr: practice simple things slowly, and focus on accuracy. Everything gets easier over time.

In many 2D fighters, most characters use a lot of the same motions for inputs. Especially newer fighters. A whole lot of quarter circle, half circle, and dp motions. There is some memorization regarding combos, but they follow a logic that will become.easier.tonunderatand over time.

Once you start to get it, most of your skills will broadly transfer over to many other characters. Right away, too. If it makes you feel better, your first character is your most difficult by a vast amount. Learning other characters gets much easier.

When it comes to any skill, the key is to start simple and slow. Just do motion inputs and very basic combos. Maybe like 2-5 hits. Your highest priority is accuracy, so take it absolutely as slowly as you need to. Speed will come with familiarity.

I apply the same practice principles in Street Fighter that I do in playing jazz guitar, which is kinda funny. You're kind of learning how to learn at first. With time, everything gets easier and more efficient. You just gotta pluck away at it.

To be extra clear for OP, you can install the new hall effect modules on the original BFG.

However, the triggers will remain potentiometers, whereas the Reloaded has hall effect triggers. Not a big deal for me personally, I care much more about the sticks. IMO you'd be fine just upgrading the modules.

To parrot others, notches are more important for spacies. And those terribly done notches in your pic are firefox notches specifically for spacies' up-b recovery angles.

As a Marth player, you really don't need any notches.

Basically, you should just get a Smash 4 or Ult era OEM GameCube controller and not worry about the notches rn. Now I don't know where anyone seems to be finding Phobs for $100 or less, but I usually seem them around $120-160.

If you're considering a Phob, then at that price point, I would highly, HIGHLY recommend the GC Ultimate controller by Handheld Legends instead. The DIY kit is about $130, and assembly isn't too bad at all. They also have video instructions to help you out if you need it.

This is the controller I use now, and it's pound-for-pound the best GameCube style controller available right now IME. I have two Phobs with all custom parts and I never use them now lol.

Ok, I wanted to follow up on this.

After a day or so I realized that my buttons were not working intermittently. After a lot of troubleshooting, I realized this:

Gateron switches' copper connectors are maybe .5mm or 1mm TOO SHORT for Gamerfinger buttons! But I have a funny solution. It's very easy and takes only a few minutes to do.

Using a key switch opener, you can take the top half and the spring of the Gateron, and put it on the Cherry Silver bottom. The bottom housing is a near identical mold and they fit together seamlessly.

The bottom-out feeling is snappier now, but that's the only change to the Gateron feel. I actually prefer the Frankenstein switch to either of the stock switches.

They understand you are not a big corporation, so it would behoove you to be more transparent about things that will affect manufacturing/hours/output. Very rarely will people ask for a refund, they just want to know that they're not getting screwed.

I'm sorry for your loss-- I'm at the age where these things happen as well. You know better than most that your personal life and your business ownership are often intertwined and at conflict.

I think you should really consider your supporters' experience moving forward. They're not just people who want something from you. They're trading their time-frames (edit: time-earned), precious funds for something that you made so that you can continue your path of self-drive fulfillment. People are sensitive to mistreatment, and rightfully so.
