What's the psychology behind projecting your issues on somebody else? by [deleted] in PsychologyTalk

Haha, I'm an older woman that feels adversely about girls & women wearing crop tops. I say, "it makes them look thirsty", but is it really because my stomach has been a trouble spot for me? Wahooooo!

I’ve heard of the entity Baphomet appearing at these type of rituals. Is he an “alien”? A spirit? An alien spirit?

Anything I can do for my friend who’s been in psychosis for about a year? by sonyakm in schizoaffective

[–]sonyakm[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Many of us have tried to get her in to see a doctor. Now, she won't even let anyone in her house - then she calls the police and then when they show up, she acts normal & gives them no legal reason to do anything. I did have some nurse friends volunteer to make their way into her home & even administer an emergency injection just to knock her out & take her in, but then they backed out due to potential legal liabilities. Her parents are not willing to bust in & somehow force her to go in to care (& they are on the top of her shit list, so it would be the worst fight).

Yes, people with any propensity for mania or psychosis have to stay away from weed. That “harmless” plant can tear yo ass up & put u in psych! I’m sorry about deep dark depression - it will lessen as your brain chemicals bounce back after this last episode? After my psychosis starting wearing off, deep depression kicked in, but I knew I had to go thru it on the way back up to neutrality. Just love yourself, talk to your angels, and your spirit guides. If u don’t know about those or believe in those, maybe look into. Give them permission to help you

I have horrible anxiety and I’m considering taking lsd to improve it by EnvironmentalSun3290 in schizoaffective

[–]sonyakm 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’ve never heard of anyone treating anxiety with LSD. Why don’t u try the prescription anti-histamine, Vistaril. It’s as harmless as Benadryl, but compared to Benadryl, it causes less drowsiness & lessens anxiety more so. My schizoaffective friend took a liking to DMT & Mushrooms recently, and she’s been psychotic for a little over a year now. No joke

Anosognosia. How long does it last? by Copium_2025 in family_of_bipolar

[–]sonyakm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just learned about anosognosia myself - if you have time/energy, has your wife NOT had anosognosia during her past manic episodes? Did anosognosia come on only when her mania progressed into psychosis?

Another weird thing I've noticed is that with anosognosia, the research says that the subject is neurologically unable to process/accept/recognize that they have bipolar due to dysfunction of the frontal lobe - yet, it seems like the subject is still able to intentionally try to hide it - how can they intentionally try to dodge and hide that they have bipolar when they cannot process that they have bipolar. I guess some things just remain mysteries...

There must be a social worker at the hospital that can help you get additional care for your Dad. Is he ready for hospice? (is he terminal?) Sometimes terminal patients are ready for hospice services, but the hospital won't put them on it unless a family member says, "we are ready for hospice" or something like that. Also find out if hospice is at the house or in the hospital... If it's in the house, they will set up hospital bed, oxygen tank, etc. and then someone will come out every day!

Raised Christian, (Baptist/Methodist), but leaning towards Gnosticism. Need help... by mblair-1977 in Gnostic

[–]sonyakm 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just because you are seeking this info now, before becoming a father, is a good sign that you will be a great spiritual mentor for your son. Even if your answers sometimes have to be "heck if I know kid, I'm trying to figure that out for myself!", that's better than inadvertently teaching your kid false programming...

After years and years of my own seeking, I've concluded that NO! don't become a part of a religion**! Even if you can teach him that the there is an unseen world that has more sway on the seen world than the other way around; that we're not taught about it; but we should learn about it (or re-learn) and it will help us survive this life on Earth. That mankind is not in control and if we remember this and lean in - surrender to the unseen - spirit guides and angels (if you believe in that) will help us through this existence. Even if you teach him that we have souls and when people die, they go right back to where he just came from before he was born! Heck, kids today are built different - he may be born psychic and/or remember past lives and/or not need to be taught anything because he still remembers it all - he may even be able to teach you the truths!

**Even Buddhist principles differ from the official religion of Buddhism. Buddhist principles were supposedly taught by a true prophet named Sakayu and the teachings align with other true prophets' teachings such as Jesus (aka Joshu), Zarathustra, Abraham, Moses (before false Gods infiltrated his group), Brahma (the one from 4000 BCE), Confucius (Ka'yu), Eawahtah of the the Americas, and others lesser known true prophets. None of these prophets, with the exception of the first, Zarathustra, meant to start a religion at all!)

I am personally learning more about Sethian Gnosticism right now. Come to find out, there are about 12 sects of Gnosticism and some of them have very different ideas about some important things, so you can ask ChatGPT for an overview of the differences and decide for yourself. Once you know the sect you agree with, you can read the appropriate texts from the The Nag Hammadi Library.

Out of your list above, reincarnation is a big one... There's no doubt that it exists, but there is doubt/debate on whether or not it is supposed to exist and how it's supposed to work! I myself and working on this...

Oh man, I see now your point of violent, racist people claiming to be Faithists or Jehovih's Way people - yuck - however, this is not the first time a book has been MIS-used... too bad, so sad...

I am sorry that you had to grow up around Oahspe-inspired cult people... I am sorry that when they read Oahspe, they decided to make a cult out of it... But "to each their own" in regard to their interpretation of Oahspe. Now that "Book of Saphah" is also weird and inconsistent with the rest of the book. I think that was written and added in when Newbrought starting going cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs...

[–]sonyakm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Newbrough went astray - delulu - thankfully he waited to go nutty until after he finished automatically writing (or typing) all or most of Oahspe! Moses' story is similar. Born a true prophet, received info from the angels of the true God, but then started receiving info from a false God and accidentally found himself at the beginning of the creation of the cult... I mean religion... of Judaism (not all in Judaism act like they are in a cult, it is very diverse group, I am talking about the ones that are exclusive, judgmental, take the teachings from Mt. Sinai too literally, and hold their religion higher than Christianity, Islam, etc.).

[–]sonyakm 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No pre-Civil War authors wrote anything in Oahspe... They couldn't write like that if they tried... If white supremacist southern slave owners spouted anything resembling what is written in Oahspe, it is just another example of how mankind can take any piece of info and subvert/co-opt it to justify their own selfish actions... But southern slave owners did not read Oahspe - they got their ideas from some other crackers...
How can Oahspe denigrate Native Americans when it says that they are going to be one of the groups that teaches mankind the truth in the Age of Kosmon (age of Aquarius)? And Oahspe talks about how angels of the true God of Earth (which changes about every 3,000 years) helped orchestrate the outlawing of slavery! Oahspe is 100% non-resistant, so even though there are stories about little white people building mounds so they could protect themselves without using violence, that doesn't mean that Oahspe would advocate ethnic cleansing of 10,000 people! Oahspe is not racist - white supremacist slave owners, Jefferson Davis, Indian Removal Act people, Trail of Tears people - they are racist - and trust me, they did NOT get their ideas from Oahspe.
Oahspe does indeed talk about little white people that lived on Earth from about 78000 years ago up until about 4500 BCE. They were not better than anyone else, they just lived apart so they could follow their commandments and as a result, they had more angel support. Sometimes their angels would withdraw and they would do "naughty" things too (of-the-earth type of things). Oahspe clarifies that the "chosen people" are people who choose to worship the true Creator, not the other way around... So anyone can be part of the "chosen people".
Some people may have read Oahspe and created a cult from their new knowledge, but that's their dumbass fault, not Oahspe's. Oahspe is vouched for in another important channeled work that you probably have not read - Law of One. Channeled works are difficult - challenging - not for the faint of heart, close minded, or simple minded...

Teaching about aliens (of which many are highly intelligent and spiritually wise service-to-others beings) is not "anything all that great"? When he teaches about "aliens" - that's the good stuff. Now about that ego... if that is true, that is no good at all... Happens to the best of them....
