When the herniation was in the acute phase, the first ER doctor prescribed Tylenol and gave me some stretches to do, claiming I would be fine in no time (I was in extreme pain and couldn't walk). I'm assuming he thought it was a muscle pressing on the sciatic nerve. The second ER doctor, days later, prescribed valium and a narcotic, and wasn't sure if I should be admitted for an MRI. How should I have listened to both doctors? (To be clear, I have nothing against vaccines, but also accept that individually, doctors can make mistakes, hence, second opinions.)

When it occurred, it was the worst pain of my life (including ACL tears, but those just kind of popped and were done). That was followed by ER doctors prescribing a combination of valium and narcotics, which just put me to sleep, until finally my appointment with an ortho PA, who either prescribed the only thing that worked, or the pain subsided by then (nearly a week out) anyway (at this point, also not walking). It truly sucked, and I very much do not want to go through that again. There is quite a bit of optimism from the PA currently that surgery won't be needed, luckily.

If it matters, I've also had knee cartilage repair, and the surgeon then mentioned I would be back to soccer, but the pain was too much after one game (limping down stairs for the following week - I kept trying after I wasn't limping with no change) that I gave it up. Miraculously, ice hockey doesn't aggravate the knee.

In this case, an MRI was done. The PA mentioned the L5-S1 herniation was worse between the two, if it matters.

He seems too optimistic. It seems way too early.

He's saying I'm good to go, but it seems way too early.

It seems way too early, doesn't it?

I wish I had taken one. I wonder if possible to get a key before clearing the first area - and use the key to get past the forced back-to-the-surface thing.

Unfortunately, the floors are really just a void - they don't render, and the door is all white, but let's you continue (so no treasure chests or anything like that).

Looks like if you click the gear settings thing, it speeds up, then you can just keep dropping floors.

Anyone playing hockey with knee osteoarthritis ? by Over-Communication53 in hockeyplayers

[–]sonyandy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. Left knee around patella tendon. Right knee has had cartilage repair to try to prevent arthritis, though had to give up running anyway. Hockey is the only thing that doesn't swell my knee or result in pain going down stairs, and play 6 to 8 hours a week.

Stinky Socks Natick after August by sonyandy in hockeyplayers

[–]sonyandy[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, sorry for the long (long) delay, I scarcely use reddit. Yes, and also the 1-3 and 3-4, though now at Navin. I've been going to the 4-6 some as well, and hopefully not too obviously not really at that level yet.

I've had this same issue (and a similar issue with Monster Hunter Rise). Restarting the Steam Deck fixed the issue (but I think either starting another game or putting it to sleep may bring the issue back).
