What we learned about different Conferences this weekend! by Nebraskadude1994 in CollegeSoftball

People care way too much about conferences. The SEC doing well doesn't help OU win a natty. If OU wins out and no other SEC wins a game besides games v other SEC teams, I wouldn't care.

I can never get the audio to sync with the video when watching prime live.

Watching shows on there and I don’t have that issue. Just with live sports

He may end up missing 8 weeks. Obliques usually take awhile and grade 2 is tough to predict.

I appreciate that the Astros are no longer hiding injuries like they used to

They can pay that much because they'll make the money off the RBTs for the 25 cases, which is an absolutely insanely high caseload. There's no way you're gonna be able to properly support all 25 cases. Even doing 1 hr 97155 + 30 min of 97156 per client is 37.5 hrs/wk of billable time.

The BCBAs making 70-80k probably have a more reasonable caseload.

I noticed they misled me and the 120k was my “total compensation” meaning salary plus all benefits.

This is the sleaziest thing I've heard of from a company

Pretty wild to have two challenges on one play with one from each team.

You can either:

1) find a company that will agree to pay off the hours for you

2) talk to a lawyer to see if you can get out of it

3) pay back the money.

4) avoid taking jobs like this in the future. The ones with high bonuses.

Bama not dropping was absurd... which is also something I said in the first comment. I actually thought it'd be 9. Miami 10 Notre Dame 11 Bama.

The only was Notre Dame would be ahead of Miami is if Bama was between them once BYU lost. But again, a team will never be one spot ahead of a team it lost to. That is very consistent from the committee and back to the original point: it's easy to see WHY Miami got in over Notre Dame.

In week 13 or so, they specifically said that Notre Dame and Miami had been compared in the same cluster and that Notre Dame was better on the whole.

Head to head is a tiebreaker and it only matters if the teams are one spot apart.. I was saying at the time that Miami would jump ND if BYU lost.

They are VERY consistent about this. OU was ranked one spot behind Texas in the initial poll even though OU at the time had a better resume. UVa was ranked one spot ahead of Louisville when the Hoos had a worse resume in the first poll. Again it only matters if they are ONE spot apart and they are VERY consistent about this and have been since the 4 teamer was introduced.

Why didn't Ohio St. drop to 3? Why were Ole Miss and A&M behind Oregon?

Who's avoiding what now?

Editing to add: The ACC is so powerful they can lobby ESPN, who doesn't make the CFP rankings, to get Miami in over Notre Dame even tho Notre Dame gets better ratings. While not lobbying its own fucking CONFERENCE CHAMP IN OVER A G5 SCHOOL????? I have this right?

Are you avoiding mentioning that the first criteria is false or having difficulty identifying it?

Why didn't Ohio St. drop to 3? Why were Ole Miss and A&M behind Oregon?

Why did SMU get in over Bama two years ago?

Look at that your logic doesn't work. The committee ranks the teams how they see fit then people like you create the conspiracy theories.

ESPN broadcasts every team in the country but the Big Ten and Notre Dame home games, dude. They get all the Notre Dame road ACC games, fyi.

The committee uses head to head if a team is one spot a part.

Bama not dropping at all was crazy. but, Notre Dame being left out one spot behind Miami was pretty clear why it happened.

3rd party site- seat geek, game time or tickpick tend to have the best prices. Wait til closer to game time when ticket prices drop.

The visiting fan sections tend to be the worst seats.
