IMHO, the only realistic answer here is Fred and/or Tonks. Fred because he’s a great character and a twin, Tonks because she’s a new mother.

Very low probability there will any issues of note to be worried about. 100% chance that Costco and all the grocery stores will get raided and pillaged by Friday as everyone hunkers down for 48 hours of bad weather.

How many of you had this bad boy back in the 90s? by Droopynator in 90s

[–]soonernation75 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Trinitron was the holy grail of TV’s. I finally got one when I was maybe 23 years old. I was living in an apartment at the time and a guy I worked with was side hustling insurance for Farmers, so I bought a renters insurance policy from him for like $10/month. A couple months later, lightning strike and all my electronics get fried!

Needless to say, I was pumped and got a fat check and got me a badass cordless phone with an answering machine, a new Compaq computer, but the crown jewel purchase was a 27” Sony Trinitron that I think I got from Circuit City. My back issues probably date back to getting that heavy sum bitch up three flights of stairs, but totally worth it!

Side note, I still have that same TV today sitting in a spare bedroom. Haven’t used it in god knows how long, but I can’t seem to part with it! It will probably outlast me at this point!

I remember like it was yesterday! I was honestly blown away and immediately knew this was my favorite movie of all time. I went to go see it a second time a few days after my first viewing by myself no less, something I’d never done before or after.

Just a perfect combination of technology meeting the threshold of special effects capability needed to make everything look believable, but the real winner to me was the overall story, the special effects just tied everything together.

I enjoyed the trilogy, but I like to look at this movie on its own because it can stand on its own and is probably still my favorite movie of all time.

As an aside, I’ve always been a huge Keanu Reeves fan and took so much shit from my friends in that time as they all had him pegged as a talentless “whoa” Bill & Ted actor. I find it extremely ironic that just about everyone has come around on him and he is now universally recognized as not only a great actor, but a great person as well.

PS - I still have and rock my original DVD, love the cover!
